Little Saigon — Restaurant in Upper Darby

First time here (2/22/25) and it was great. I had beef Pho and my wife had shrimp and chicken fried rice. Both were fantastic. Her fried rice was one of the best I’ve had in a really long time. I’ll def be back for that. The pho broth was great. The only thing different here than other places I’ve had Pho was that they didn’t give me mint with the jalapeño and bean sprouts. The service was a little slow as they were pretty busy but the owner was very apologetic. Almost too much but it was greatly appreciated because normally you don’t get that type of treatment. Even though the food came out slow he was top notch with keeping my water filled which is my primary must when it comes to restaurant service. And although it was just him working the front of the house he was serving everybody so attentively. And I think his wife was the only person in the back of the house. They did a wonderful job. Best PHO in Delaware county!! Best spring roll in Delaware county!!! I've been going here since i was a teenager and now I'm in my 30s... this place is a "hidden gem" in Upper Darby!! The food has been the same for as long as I've been coming here.. it's a small family owned restaurant.. only problem is it gets packed and there is no where to wait.. i suggest making a reservation unless you get there early.. Also, it can be kinda chilly in there sometimes.. Han is the waiter and his sister is the chef who are the best of people! If you are looking for great Vietnamese food and BYOB then this is your place! There is a parking lot directly across the street for parking.. my suggestion to you is get an order of spring rolls and a #22 if you want PHO (soup), or as a entree #62 charbroiled boneless pork over rice with fried egg!! This is not a restaurant, you are a guest at the home of a Vietnamese couple. This small restaurant gives you the impression you are eating at someone's home.

The food is very flavorful. The Pho broth is seasoned and full of herbs, the beef tripe isn't overcooked and chewy, it is just right. The Vietnamese pancake is absolutely delicious with bits of pork and shrimp and the dipping sauce elevates the flavor even further. The squid special with veggies is very tasty, nutritious, and filling. Everything tastes fresh!
