2/3/23: Have been here before and it is always a little bit loud for my liking. Multiple TV's everywhere and a HUGE bar. The place gets really full and hype for football games, which is fun, but not a place for a relaxing dinner.

The main selling point for Fireside is their bar, so the food is good, but it is a little bit noticeable that the restaurant doesn't have their main focus on it. Plus a $3 up-charge for fries from a bag of chips? Seems a bit much to me.

Service has always been semi-professional when I have dinner here in the past. I went to a party of 12 people here in the past year and they were very accommodating with the sitting arrangements and splitting the check. But that was only with one server. Another time, we could never really find our waitress. She never really checked in with us for almost our whole meal and it was hard to find her when we wanted to pay. I guess it depends on who you get.

Would definitely recommend as a party place for a drink and to see the game. Would somewhat recommend for a dinner with friends. I would not bring children here unless it was during the day and like a Tuesday or something.

6/5/24: Went to the restaurant again this past night. We ordered some small plates to share: Kids Mac and cheese: $6 (BLAND) Kids Chicken Tenders and Fries: $6 (tasty) Boneless Sweet and Spicy Wings: $12 (rlly good)

The place was packed again, even on a Sunday. The loud tvs, nosy people, and crowded space, gave me a headache. Wonderful waitress, food was okay, big energy space. Just know that.

It’s Thursday. No “sports” on. The music could be turned down a smidge, the current volumes encouragers bar patrons to compete with each other and the sound system. Riley 🤦🏽‍♀️. Sat for 7 min without so much as a greeting in passing to a table directly behind us. Not even a water!!!! Sat another 10min with an empty table. No offer of bread. Should have been Provided at this point!! No salad brought out Prior to the rest of what I “thought” was a simple order!! Again EMPTY table. Wood and menus. After placing order, waitress was AWOL. Again EMPTY table. When garlic were found and brought to tablet they were cold. Had to ask for salad to be brought out. So the moral of the story here is unless you have Jackie as your waitress your night is bound to be ruined. Hi! Hello! How are you guys!! Flash a placid smile! Greet, acknowledge. Something a certain generation is Missing. And none of this has anything to do with the restaurant industry, it’s called...

Fireside has been late with their expected wait time for pickup every time we have ordered. After my husband had to wait an hour about 8 months ago for our takeout (after arriving at the time it was supposed to be ready), we haven’t been back to Fireside for awhile. We decided to give it another chance today, and we will not be returning. I was told to arrive at 2:00, and when I arrived at 2:05, they said it would be about 5 more minutes, and asked if I wanted anything while I waited. I declined and was never given any more update. When our takeout was finally presented at 2:30, the bartender handed me the sandwiches and said thanks for waiting, but there was no apology, or offer to remedy the situation. It was not busy. If the estimated wait time was an hour, I would have waited at home. I’m extremely disappointed in Fireside, and the food was mediocre for the amount of time waiting. We’ll be sticking to Tommy D’s and the Pizza Box...

Quiet, peaceful neighborhood. Our server seemed to be a little behind or overwhelmed, but she was pretty friendly. My aunts French onion soup was extremely salty and she couldn’t even eat it. & Her buffalo chicken salad was l too spicy. I did not like that the traditional wings were by the pound. The Kansas City steak was pretty good and the cheesesteak rolls. I do wish they provided unique dipping sauces instead of just ketchup. The kids cheese pizza is very large which was a plus for us! My Husband enjoyed the Stromboli. We were visiting from out of town, so I’m not sure that we would ever be in this area again, but I don’t have any reason not to eat here another time.

First time here, the thing that impressed me the most was the service. The staff was friendly, responsive, and always around when you needed them. The bar/tavern atmosphere was what you expected for a Philly bar. But go birds is what your say while in town. The food, was meh. Had boneless wings, which were chicken nuggets and were full of gristle and not very good. The bone in wings were better. The nachos were good. I had the salad. It was good, but it needed croutons. The pizza was probably the best food that we had. I am not saying the food is terrible, it was good, but it was not great.
