Title: Delicious Food and Warm Atmosphere at Chris's Family Restaurant!

Review: I recently had the pleasure of dining at Chris's Family Restaurant, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, the cozy and welcoming atmosphere made me feel right at home.

The menu at Chris's Family Restaurant offers a wide variety of delicious options to satisfy any craving. Whether you're in the mood for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, they have you covered. The food is prepared with great care, using fresh ingredients that truly elevate the flavors.

During my visit, I decided to try their famous breakfast platter, and it did not disappoint. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the bacon was crispy, and the pancakes were fluffy and delicious. The generous portion sizes left me feeling satisfied and ready to tackle the day.

What sets Chris's Family Restaurant apart is their exceptional customer service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was top-notch. They made me feel like part of the family, and their genuine care and hospitality truly stood out.

The restaurant itself is clean and well-maintained, with a charming and inviting ambiance. It's evident that Chris's Family Restaurant takes pride in creating a comfortable and enjoyable environment for their guests.

I highly recommend visiting Chris's Family Restaurant for a memorable dining experience. Whether you're looking for a hearty breakfast, a satisfying lunch, or a delicious dinner, they have it all. Don't forget to save room for dessert—their homemade pies are absolutely divine!

Thank you, Chris's Family Restaurant, for providing exceptional food, warm hospitality, and a delightful atmosphere. I will definitely be returning soon!

Sincerely, #AllenDavis

I don't normally write bad reviews about places but this place truly needs one. It does not even deserve one star.

I visited this restaurant on a 1/20/2020 around 7:45. There was maybe 5 small groups in the restaurant the entire time I was there . Once I was seated and gave my drink order and I looked over the menu for what I wanted to eat. After ordering my food I waited 30 minutes for my groups order which only consisted of three basic omelets. After our food came out it was cold as if it were sitting in the back for a while. The waitress never came back to see if everything was good or if we needed more drinks. I had to get up halfway through eating my meal to find a server to refill the drinks for me. We were missing a substation of fruit for the hash browns which we had to ask for to which we got a very rude response. After eating our sub-par meal someone in my party had to take a few medications for allergies and asthma which our waitress thought it would be appropriate to stand next to our table staring at the member in my group while they were taking there medications. Once we got the bill we looked it over to find 2 errors. We were charged $7.99 for a $4.99 omelet and charged for the fruit substation which she said was an even swap for hash browns. When we took the bill to the counter to pay and get the bill corrected where we explained the issue of the bill the lady at the checkout who got a manager to help and the manager was rude questioning us in what we were told by our waitress saying she was incorrect in what she told us and we had to pay the extra money because we were told bad information. After explaining this to her and her being very rude and belligerent she changed the omelet to the correct price and removed the fruit cup from the bill as our server stood there being rude and interjecting in the matter after we had left our table. Needless to say we will never return after to this restaurant.

I highly recommend you eat at any other diner rather...

This restaurant has a sizable rock by its entrance that resulted in significant damage to the side of my vehicle.

This is an unreasonable hazard due to the restaurant owner going with a cheap and easy approach to directing traffic rather than investing in a more appropriate mechanism.

Update: Shortly after I posted this, the restaurant reacted with a response, so I’d like to add some clarity to further encourage them to fix this.

First, they said, “you went into the grass.” Unless you count some weeds growing between the rock and the curb, there is no grass next to the rock in the picture I shared, which shows the south entrance. The restaurant’s comment indicates to me that they don’t really care about other customers’ vehicles getting damaged in the future. This is because they just assumed I was referencing their north entrance, which does contain a significant amount of grass. Rather than considering fixing this, they just made a snap judgment and completely wrote off this risk. My wife was driving our vehicle at the time, and she scraped it against the rock that is right next to the asphalt of the entrance. As you can see from the original picture I shared, as well as a new one I just uploaded from Google Maps, it would not have been possible for my wife to go “into the grass.”

Second, the restaurant said the rock [that resulted in the damage] is many feet away from the entrance.” The additional photo I just uploaded from from Google Maps that shows an additional perspective of the rock in question. I like a good, standard diner and if you’re in Allentown, Pennsylvania, that’s what they specialize in here! Though with most “standard” diners having almost identical menus, it takes a little bit to stand out amongst the crowd. Chris’s was fine but not so much “stand out.” The coffee (and yes, dear friends, all restaurants that serve breakfast should be initially judged on their coffee) was your standard diner coffee. The good news is I could taste it (which isn’t always a given at these kinds of places where you often get browned water. So a couple of points for being able to taste the coffee, though it wasn’t particularly strong. They have a unique dish called “Carnegie Potatoes” which is described on the menu as potatoes with milk, onions, roasted red peppers, sour cream, fresh parsley and cheddar cheese, and is served potato pancake style. That’s a pretty exciting description for a potato in any form lover like me…however, in practice it really was mashed potatoes served flat. A little bit tasty but there was very little presence of the listed ingredients besides potatoes. I had the standard 2 egg breakfast, made with egg whites. They served it to me with bacon after I had stated I was a vegetarian. It came with an english muffin which, as often happens at these kinds of places, was under toasted. Our waitress was great. She was very personable and dealt very well with our large party at a time when the restaurant was packed. (It was a holiday weekend weekend no available seats.) Chris’s did the intended job but we’re still on the lookout for a truly standout “standard” diner in the Lehigh Valley.

Used to come here very often but the last few time have been less than great.I order my food online at around 12 noon. I wasn’t feeling well so I asked my boyfriend to pick it up.I was a simple order with 3 items.I was told on the online ordering it would take until around 12:45 ish.My boyfriend went and got the food at around 12:50. When I got the food I gave the quesadilla to my mom and all was good.when I go to open my food to eat my omelette and my toast…my toast is super burned and soggy. The pancakes I ordered looked like a toddler had already stuck their hands in them and then they were placed in the box.All the food was cold and soggy. I call to make them aware and the only solution is for me to come back to the store to have it remade or get a refund. When I get to the store and bring back the horrendous food as I was told to over the phone. The only thing more ridiculous than my lukewarm mediocre food was that It was not busy with only some booths filled in the restaurant.About 3 employees one being the owner inspecting the food. The owner asked the waitress who had made the pancakes and she replied “nick”. So under my presumption she had seen him make and or package these pancake and said nothing. The owner went to the back and I assume spoke to the cook about this.I don’t understand is there no expo checking food before it goes out because this is just incredible.Paid card and got refunded in cash which is no big deal if I hadn’t been shorted almost a dollar in my refund.Chris will not be seeing business from me anytime soon.I would give zero starts if I could!
