As two other reviews mentioned they need to revise their wait system. I have been here several times since they opened. This last time I went will probably be my last. The food is decent. We usually get the skillets that have potatoes, meat , cheese , and egg. And have had the chicken and waffles, and pancakes. All of it is decent. The servers we have had are great. The last time we went however the wait system was complete garbage. I went online and put our party of 5 on a waitlist. Online it said 40-60 minutes. We arrive at the restaurant at approximately 40 minutes after putting us on the online wait system. We where told it would be a 15 minute wait. We ended up waiting almost an hour. We kept checking in with the hostess and they assured us we were being seated next. We watched several parties be seated prior to us, mind you parties that arrived after us. When I questioned them they said they were parties of four, but they weren't. The one party sat before us, was a party of five. Granted one was in a high chair, but a high chair still takes up space. So finally they sit us, and they pushed two four tops together, to seat the five of us. So they effectively put a party of 5 in 8 seats…… They did not offer any type of apology. This last experience was extremely frustrating. And the fact other people had similar experiences goes to show they know this is an issue. I hope...
Read moreI cannot say enough good things about Turning Point! We came here for Easter Brunch with 10 people. They don’t take reservations but do take call ahead seating. We called when we were on our way and we were seated immediately in the dining room. They dropped off water pitchers and coffee orders right away. The interior is very cozy and is exactly what you would think of when you think “cozy brunch spot”.
The food was delicious. Everyone ordered something different and everyone was satisfied. My wife and I both had the Avocado Smash Benny and we split the power grain pancakes. I had a French press of their house blend coffee. I forgot to take food pictures because it was so good.
One of the best things I can say is their menu is very diverse and they accommodate allergy and dietary restrictions more than any other restaurant we have been too. My niece has a severe egg allergy and they serve Just Egg, which is perfect, and they don’t charge an arm and a leg for it. We sat for maybe 20 minutes after the food was gone to finish our coffee. We never felt like we were getting kicked out or rushed by any means. Turning Point is highly...
Read moreI know the food here is great by past experience. Unfortunately, both times I have been here for brunch it has taken FOREVER to get my order. Both times I put my name on the wait list and arrived at the predicted time. The first time I waited an additional 45 min to get seated and 35 more min for food. Today, we got seats at the bar because it was going to be at least another 30 min beyond the wait list prediction. We waited 10 min at the bar for the waitress to even address us. We gave our order right away and after 40 min of waiting for our food, we asked the waitress how much longer it would be for our order. She said she would check but ultimately just apologized that it was so busy. When 10 more minutes passed and the waitress didnt update us on our order, i asked for the check. The waitress comped our coffee and chocolate milk. Very disappointing though. The reservation/wait list system needs to improve. I updated the manager about what transpired and she gave me a coupon for 2 free entrees to stop by again- we'll see I guess. If you have unlimited time to wait for a meal, you won't be...
