Had security called on me at the Saucan Valley Verizon store, because I could not find out how to pay my final Verizon bill after switching. The extremely aggressive store assistant manager essentially got mad at me because he had to repeat himself about the policy at the store. I'm sorry that I don't work for Verizon and understand store policy.
What happened.. I got a final bill for over $900, couldn't log on to the site, and he explained in a very hostile manner that he could not help me at the store. Now I understand I was asking questions multiple times, because I couldn't understand why they wouldn't be able to help me do anything. Eventually we got to the point where he instructs me to call the customer service number. So I call customer service, and I go through the process of giving my account information. This entire time I'm staring at the floor, because I could sense the frustration between the two of us, so I decided to stare at the floor throughout this whole process to defuse some of it. As I'm put on hold, waiting for customer service, I decide to sit in a near by chair. I haven't looked or said a single word to the assistant manager in almost 3 or 4 minutes, but as soon as I sit down he threatens to call security on me. His reasoning is because "I disrespected him and the store, by calling the customer service line, while actually in the store." I responded by saying "I literally did nothing. I'm on the phone, in a chair." He responds "And disrespecting me and the store." I asked how, and he replies "You're no longer a customer, you're not allowed to be in the store making phone calls." I said "But I'm calling the number you told me to call to find out about your bill." He responds by saying "You're not a customer! If you want to call customer service, you leave the store, and when you're done, then you can come back. I already told you to leave (he never once asked me to leave until that moment), so now security is coming."
I'm sitting in a chair while he stands over me, barking at me for a couple minutes, thinking "Wow, this is the assistant manager?". As soon as I finish the call with the Verizon customer service rep, he jumps down my throat saying, "You're disrespectful because you calling customer service in the store is essentially calling me a liar. Right? Right? That's what you think I am?" I replied that I didn't think so. He responds, "Where do you work? I'm assuming you do work right? It doesn't matter, say I show up to Decca and ask you a question that you can't help me with. You say to call customer service, and I call them right there and then in front of you. Wouldn't you feel disrespected". I replied "Absolutely not. And most people wouldn't."
During the customer service call he berates me with questions. "Well what did she say? She said what I been saying right? Answer the question, she said exactly what I said right? Why are you double checking what I'm saying when I'm right? That's disrespectful."
I was with Verizon for 7 years, paid my bill every month, and that's the interaction I get while I'm in the store acquiring about a bill i can't access? I cannot believe that is the assistant manager. What terrible...
Read moreFirst thing this morning I went in because I have insurance on my phone and my entire screen was blank from dropping it. I was told I needed to accept a text message for them to access my account, which I couldn't because the screen was 100% non responsive. He did allow me to use his phone to call my wife so the message to access the account could be confirmed by her. Afterwards he told me I needed to make a claim online. I again showed him my entirely blank phone screen and asked how could I do that if I can't access the internet, knowing the last time I had an issue the person at verizon in easton was nice enough to process the claim for me, but he didn't seem to be bothered that he wasn't helping resolve the problem and more worried about sitting in his chair. So I left and no fault of theirs but then I got stuck on 78 while deciding to go to the verizon store in easton. When I arrived, they promptly made the claim and it took only seconds and I walked next door to drop my phone off at the u-break-it-i-fix-it and was told it would be ready in 2 hours. Easily enough, I went back and it was done and ready. Why the lack of customer service? Was it because I am blue collar and arrived in my work clothes? I'm sure if I was there to add a line or do an upgrade he would have been all over it. I understand most businesses are short handed and they can only do so much with the time they have, but when I'm your first customer and only customer in the building why was it an issue for you to help me with the claim on a 100% non usable device when the other location handled it instantly? Maybe I should have shown up in a suit jacket and would have gotten better treatment. A shame being a verizon customer since 2006 this is how certain employees treat you. If you'd rather a better experience please visit verizon in easton on 4763...
Read moreBUYER BEWARE! This is NOT an authorized Verizon store and they do NOT tell you that they are not an authorized store until you try to return something. Look out for hidden charges on your bill, such as PP membership of $79.99, which was explained to me as set up fee. Dont quite understand why it is stated that way. Nor do I understand why I was charge this when I went to an authorized dealer I wasnt charged this fee. Also I read a review where this gentleman was told it was a membership to get discounted accessories, which is it? They had a sign displayed in the store for a "free" tablet but they sign didnt state that there would be a $40 activation fee or a $10 monthly line charge. I was never told about the activation fee, I found out about the monthly line charge after I came home and checked my upcoming monthly bill.. Another thing is I asked about employer discounts. They couldnt find my employer. When I went to an authorized store, one of the first thing the salesperson asked was who was my employer. Guess what, this salesperson was able to find my employer and I was able to save on my purchases. I cannot stress to everyone do not go to this store, please go to a corporate store that...
