Horrible, terrible, embarrassing they would try to call that dinner. Now I am only talking about the sandwich “the Brian” at this time. Brisket sandwich with slaw and BBQ sauce. The brisket was absolutely disgusting. They thought by grinding it up into tiny bits I wold not be able to tell it was probably one week old and had been heated and reheated every day that week. It was filled with pieces so hard they hurt my teeth to chew (and my throat when I swallowed). They smothered it with slaw and sauce thinking the customer wouldn’t know. I understand brisket can be hit or miss but if you don’t sell enough of it to keep it somewhat fresh, then take it OFF THE MENU. I eat here every time I visit my mother in OC (every other month approx) and we’ve had other bad experiences too. Seems like a popular place. Maybe I’m not ordering the right thing but it was a disgrace to serve me that sandwich. I NEVER write reviews but I am starting tonight after being let down at almost every restaurant Ive eaten at recently. When I eat out, I choose to spend whatever it costs. All I ask for, is the correct order and it be edible. I don’t have a refined pallet and my expectations are very modest. All restaurants these days are embarrassing, not just this one. I’m simply disgusted about wasting money on garbage that I am now starting to do reviews. Maybe, just maybe they will start to get their acts together a little more. This anemic has ruined so much. And btw, I also tip for takeout since that became regular during the pandemic - makes it hurt that much more when I’m the only one in the...
Read moreWent for dinner and was hoping for Pizza. Sign says Pizzeria. Was told only had pizzas for kids after 4pm and adults had to order off the entree menu. Several families left after being told this. Mostly pasta entrees with cost of $38 plus.
We recieved the brushetta and bread served as we got our drinks. Told the brushetta is the best ever. It was OK.
We ordered the kids pizza and some apps. 4 meatballs and Arancini and Italian wedding soup. They were ok. Soup my thought of was less then restaurant quality. The pizza was about 14 inches and would be enough to feed the 3 of us. Also think the other families that left would have been content ordering the kids pizza.
Inside the restaurant. Its pretty small; they had sliced pizza ready to sell. I couldn't figure out why they said no pizza after 4. It's what a bunch of people wanted. It sure didn't feel like a fine dining restaurant atmosphere. Everything checked boxes as just OK.
I think the waitress lost interest in the group of us outside as families left over not being able to order pizza. I'd say she wanted people ordering the entrees because of the cost; she'd get a better tip. Didn't see her until it was time for the bill. Never came to check on us or offer refill on our sodas that were empty for half the meal.
If it weren't for the nice guy that served the food; I'd say service lacked on the waitresses end.
While ok; it was disappointing...
Read moreThis was my first experience here. I ordered a pizza and chicken fingers/fries. When the girl working answered the phone, she said please hold and put phone down. When she finally picked the phone up she took my order and told me 30 mins. I arrived 30 mins later. The small waiting area was crowded. I watched the same girl answer the phone over and over and do same thing. Told everyone 30 mins. Our food wasnt ready. The pizza was ready after 40 mins. We waited almost an additional 30 mins for chicken fingers/fries. While we were waiting we watched the girl behind the counter tell the delivery boy to get out because he was stressing her out. We heard her say she just wanted to go home numerous times. We finally got our food, walked out and when we got home they had forgotten the fries. Again, we ordered a large pie and chicken fingers/fries. I cant even just blame the girl behind the counter. She was overwhelmed with phone calls and people picking up with no help. I have had a summer place in Seaville for 30+ years. It was my first visit here...
