Teds Coney Island West — Restaurant in Urbandale

First question out of my mouth was do you guys have classic baskets with 3 hot dogs like every single coney island ever right lady says yeah its the 5$ sum and 9 meal item the number one on the menu i look at her again and ask that has three hot dogs she says yes ... My gf wants two i convinced her to buy the classic 3 hot dogs ... Lady behind the counter gets all confused for some reason then tells me oh no thats not 3 hot dogs thats the meal then why did you say at the very beginning of the conversation if you sold them in groups of three like every coney island ever yeah no lady tried selling me the meal multiple times she was literally trying to sell me three meals to eat myself when i broke it down because she clearly doesn't speak English i find out she lied the first time in order to get us to just buy a meal never returning I'm super glad i caught that before paying for two extra meals when all me and my gf wanted where 9 hot dogs maybe keep an English speaking employee on staff or something thats guaranteed not the first time...

Went in with my coworker she got a basket I got chicken nuggets and cheese sticks. Everything in her basket was undercooked. My chicken nuggets were undercooked. My cheese sticks were so fried and nuked that they were completely stuck to the paper container they came in( i had to peel them out with a fork and all that came off was cheese and paper) When I tried to bring it to the male employees attention he grabbed the tray, took it to the back, threw it down on the counter and ignored me. I tried to make it clear that I wasn’t requesting any sort of compensation. I just wanted to bring it to his attention. He continue to ignore me and then let him know that the pop machine was out of syrup and he continued to ignore me! I visited all of the other Coney Island and Ted Coney Island locations. The food is always good but the young punk at the front counter is a rude Chump who thinks he is something special. Being in the service industry myself I can’t stand when someone is rude to customers or treats them like they are beneath them. This guy got an attitude because he had to change my order. How dare he get an attitude when it’s his job to work the front counter. Furthermore, he needs to dress professional and not walk around in a big blue bubble coat with his earpiece in. Is this a restaurant or hangout spot. Wish I could’ve given it five stars based off of the food. Unfortunately based off of his service he became a two star.
