I went with a group of people early today. One of the cases was open and there was some tinker toys boxed up. We assumed since the case was open and nobody was around we could look at it. A lady working there flipped out on us. A member in my group asked to look inside it to see if or what was left in it since it was a older set. The woman got smart and told us we couldn’t look in it by the case and that we would have to look at the counter. So my group member went to the counter and stood there waiting to look inside. The worker then ignored her and told her to look around and when they decided to check out that they’d open it. Kinda sketchy. What if this was the only thing they could afford in the store? It wouldn’t make sense to make them walk around before looking would it? So my group member requested to look again and the woman proceeded to yell about she was busy but she wasn’t. So we continued to shop. When we went to check out she refused to check us out. Another member in my group had enough of it and told her it was wrong for her to be rude and talk to us in that manner. She turned around and started yelling at us about how she’s not a rude person. She got smart and said what you want a manager to tell them how rude I am? It was kinda baffling. I was completely disgusted. People had stopped to watch the worker lose it. We had very little kids with us and they got frightened. I left with my son because it was to the point of it being bad. The woman was older with blond grayish hair. If that helps the management. She was working with a Asian girl. The other coworker acted like this was normal behavior from her. I’ve shopped and brought things to here for years. I’m done coming here. To scare my kids is absolutely inappropriate. With the world how it is today who knows what she would of done...
Read moreI've already written a review of this particular location, and I have not changed my mind about it. Unless they can actually you know get prices in line to what they should be I have noticed that the prices on clothing or high and so are some of the other objects and you can buy just as nice things brand new at Ross or Marshalls or TJMaxx for the same amount you want to charge at a secondhand store you know that's kind of crazy! my last review was about the two wing chairs they had in there and they were $200 a piece and they were just old wing chairs they had a nice velvet fabric on them, but the seating was not that great it was kind of shot( sagging) and even though the fabric was in good shape but they certainly weren't worth $200 a piece !! A person can go on Craigslist and you know watch an item and see how far it comes down in price are you can buy two of them for the price they wanted for ONE at THIS store...; so if I'm going to buy a used wing chair I expect to pay fifty/ 60 bucks or less at a secondhand store. as I said a lot of the other prices are high and I just don't understand that ....that stuff's just going to sit there. on the positive side I do like how the things are organized by color all the home stuff and the knick knacks and everything that's nice they've done a really good job on that if you're looking for something that's blue or teal or any color like that then you can find it if you're looking for gold or yellow , those are organized really well . . .that's really positive about this store but other than that I was...
Read moreI am writing this review from the perspective of a consignor.
As a new consignor, I found this business difficult to work with. My first visit was confusing and unwelcoming—I received more guidance from a fellow consignor than from the staff. The process of signing up for an account, checking in on a sign-in sheet, and printing bin tags from a computer was not explained upfront. Without prior knowledge or clear instructions, new consignors are left to figure it out on their own. That said, I did manage to submit the items I brought for sale, and the associate I interacted with was polite and courteous.
My second visit was equally frustrating. I arrived at 6:05 PM, unaware that they stop accepting items at 6 PM, even though the store remains open until 7 PM. Despite being just five minutes late, I was turned away. While the associate was polite, it was still discouraging as a new consignor trying to navigate their rules and was shown no leniency.
Determined to try again, I returned the next day well before 5 PM, only to learn from someone in line that they had already stopped accepting items. When I called the store for clarification, I was transferred twice, and no one could answer my question or connect me with someone at the receiving desk.
The lack of clear communication, inconsistent policies, and unhelpful staff make doing business here a frustrating and time-consuming experience. I’ve decided not to consign here anymore. While I can’t comment on the shopping experience, I would not recommend this store to anyone looking to...
