I've had fajitas all over the country, I travel for business in just about every state. I know what proper fajitas are, and how they should taste and be presented tableside. I also don't know what the other reviewers are smoking, thinking this is edible food, as these have to be hands down - the WORST attempt at fajitas I have ever eaten, and I've had my share. $15 for lunch fajitas...you get a lukewarm plate of 90% onion and peppers, and about 10% pale colored dog meat, no seasoning, no flavor. Two tortillas, no lettuce, no cheese. Beans were soupy dog-diarrhea. You've got to be kidding me. This place was so embarrassing, I don't understand how they are still in business. Horrible service too, will never be back. Do everyone a favor - take a trip to Uncle Julio's in Dallas, order the steak fajitas, and learn. Of course, some people will claims these aren't 'authentic' either, so who cares. Visit Hacienda Colorado in Denver. It's embarrassing what you served and call 'fajitas'. Learn to cook at least. You're not even to the level of Abuelos or Chilis for that matter. So sad. It's as if the cook / owner just doesn't care anymore,...
Read moreMy family moved to Vacaville in 1981. My dad always used to like to try different places to eat. We certainly had our favorites in San Bernardino, and we needed to find new favorites. El Azteca is in a (formerly very busy) shopping center on Peabody Rd. It's kinda tucked away in the back; a hidden gem totally worth finding! There is a new sign right up front listing all the places in that center now. The restaurant has recently done some upgrades, with the booths. (Nice!) I remember that if we had family visiting from out of town, we definitely hit up El Azteca. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced. They have daily specials, lunch buffets, and I've tried almost everything on the menu. My goto is #14 (2 enchiladas, rice and beans). My very favorite is the camarones del ajo. I've introduced many of my friends to my family favorite spot, and we've gone back many times. The waitresses are always super friendly, and check on you to see if you need beverage refills, more chips, more salsa, etc. I highly...
Read moreThe server was decent at the beginning patient I had kids didn’t rush us but it changed after she noticed we didn’t eat much of the food. I got a super burrito 2 kids Meals and fajitas. As I pick up the burrito it fell apart. The steak was lukewarm more on the coldish side the steak didn’t have flavor the beans was a tad bit sour. The server came back to refill the drinks and didn’t ask how was the food. So I sat it on the far end side of the table . She came back with the check and look at the food and just had an ugh look on her face. I went in to pay and again she didn’t ask how did you like out food or anything she just said thank you. I wasn’t looking for a discount I just wanted a server to a good server. Instead I got someone who don’t check on there tables need or comfort. She made the atmosphere there uncomfortable. And again when we got there she had great energy until she noticed the food wasn’t eaten. I could of said something yes but I didn’t I was hoping she would ask how do you...
