0 Star for Service. I have never seen a pizza place try so hard to turn away customers who want delivery.
Online ordering system is TERRIBLE. Things are in places that don't make sense and it requires an email even if you don't sign up for their rewards. No tip calculator, and you enter the amount for tip like it's a note. Felt very insecure. Since it's not added to the total, I can only assume they have someone at the end of the night counting CC tips. For a modern redesign of their website, weirdly obtuse for NO REASON!
They only offer Pepsi in 2 liters. This blew my mind, I tried to order a Holiday Bundle (Online Exclusive), and it only offered Pepsi. I thought it was some weird glitch on the website, so I called the store. Surprise, I get put through to a CALL CENTER, and I'm talking to a guy who says thank you every 20 seconds. I get to the store phone to directly ask them, and yeah... they don't have anything but Pepsi on 2 liter. Only other options are from the soda fountain, which is not part of the deal so it's not possible. What a weird arduous limitation for absolutely NOTHING.
Apparently they aren't using in-house delivery people, cause I got a text from Doordash that my order is on the way, but I "APPARENTLY" didn't enter delivery information! I did, it wouldn't let me process the order without it. Guess I'm gonna spend some time directing someone how to deliver the pizza too! $6+ delivery fee! Who is the tip I added going to? None of this is conveyed!
The pizza is still way overpriced for what you're getting. So all this hassle AND you feel like you got ripped off too!
It feels like this place is run by an alien who doesn't understand what makes pizza delivery convenient. AND they charge you too much for the pleasure!
If you're like me and just "wanted something other than Pizza Guys", don't bother. If you REEEAALLY want Round Table, just go sit down there. Don't get delivery. This sucked.
At least the pizza looks okay. The garlic twists look...
Read moreWatch out for the old "Bait and Switch" on this place. They send out a flyer saying that you can get a large pepperoni and bacon Italiano for $23.99. And on the picture in the ad they show the pizza completely covered in pepperoni. When you go to pick it up there is an extra $1.75 service fee and 1/3 or 1/4 the amount of pepperoni shown in the ad . What is the service fee for? Because they have to pay their employees more. Are you F'ing kidding me? Why not have a service fee for coming into their business, or for parking in their parking lot? What's next? I am not sure if this is the only Round Table restaurant that is doing this, or it is company wide. Seeing as corporate did not respond to my email and that Round Table is notoriously expensive, I tend to think that they are pulling this at every one of their restaurants. Have any other restaurants pulled the shenanigans with the service fee? I deliberately went in for pickup so I didn't have to pay all the delivery charges. See photos for evidence of "Bait & Switch" It's probably been at least 5 years since I've gotten a pizza from Round Table and this will ensure that I will probably never, ever get...
Read moreI have such great memories of this place from many years ago: it's truly sad to see what has become of an iconic eating establishment. The interior is used and run down, not inviting at all. The menu prices are exorbitant: I paid $1.70 for 3 pieces of pepperoni 😳. $32 for two 6" personal pizzas is CRAZY. The toppings are weighed like a miser doling out flecks of gold dust and the employees not only don't wear gloves while fixing the food, they don't even wash their hands! It was a total turn off watching my order be prepared. I honestly would have asked for a refund and walked out except my 84 year old mother had her heart set on reminiscing over a dinner we had 20+ years ago. Sadly, she was unhappy with the pizza I ordered for her, noting the scarcity of toppings. Also~ what's going on with that pre-made crust? Is that made with bioengineered ingredients? This was just an all around bad experience. Sometimes it really is better to quit while the memories are still good. Round Table is no longer something I can look back on...
