L&L Hawaiian Barbecue — Restaurant in Vallejo

Just went last Week and I went in feeling stupid trying to pull off a last minute get-together for a valued staff member at my dialysis treatment center and 15-18 other staff members. I came out very educated, because not only did they have the prices, clearly indicated, on the wall, they also had the small, medium and large aluminum family/Party size pans (shown on wall) to put the combo I purchased, in. I requested, but didn't need a Manager. The Cashier was fully knowledgeable about what I was stumbling and stammering over. That took 5 minutes, including payment for the order, (with her suggestion) after telling her what I needed it for.😀 She requested 20 minutes to prepare and I was on my way to the venue, in less, taking altogether a half hour. 🙃 The meat was done and It was a hit!!!! Don't expect a fine dining experience. You won't get it. What you can expect is the best tasting Loco Moco you can find on the mainland. The beef patties are perfectly seasoned and browned. The brown gravy has a fantastic flavor without being salty. The rice is very well cooked and the perfect base to build your Loco Moco upon. I ordered the mini which had two beef patties covered in brown gravy with a perfectly cooked egg over easy on top, all of which sat on a bed of white rice. It came with a tiny plastic fork but it was a good way to enjoy small but flavor packed bites. It was glorious. Simply put, it was not diner fare but an elevated version of an island comfort dish that has been hella hard to find. I have been here several times. Last couple times the cooks always burned the beef. I went in and ordered, I specifically made it clear to the lady tell the cook not to burned my beef. I should have checked it. After arriving home, as disappointed I was the beef was burned again. I called back and complained about it I even took a picture and send it to them. I specifically told the manager to call me about this matter. Months have gone by and I never received a call. Off course I never will go back again. There are so many Hawaiian BBQ in Vallejo.
