Michaels — Local services in Vallejo

My wife and my 7year old daughter were scheduled to do a rock painting activity today at 10:00am My wife ask the worker," Is a rock painting activity class today"? Worker: "Nope they didnt want to do it anymore" rudely responded. My wife said "oh ok" Worker: "Let me get you a manager " Manager: "Yes, you called for a manager" rudely talking to my wife. My Wife: "Ah no I didn't ask for a manager, I was just saying is there a rock painting class today". Manager: Nope they canceled and said they didn't want to do it anymore " Very Rudely.

So my wife and 7yr old daughter were disappointed and they just decided to walk around, for a minutes. After a couple minutes they saw workers setting up a table for the rock painting class.

My wife and daughter were confused at this point. My wife ask" so are they gonna do class "? Worker: well I just got off the phone with you, and said were doing the class. My wife: confusingly said" Ah no, I didnt talk to nobody." Worker: Well I got off the phone with someone.

So my wife and 7yr old daughter hung around for alittle bit and watch the kids so the rock painting class, And they notice the person was being rude to people in the class.

My 7yr old daughter told my wife "I don't want to do it anymore mommy.

So looks like the workers at Michael's were unprofessional and rude to my wife and daughter. And this is the customer service we have to deal with this generation....

To preface this review: This is not my local Michaels nor have I ever visited in person.

I placed an order online for five skeins of yarn that I was later told was fulfilled by this Michaels. When the order arrived none of the yarn was what I ordered, and each one was not only a different yarn entirely but different sizes, colors, and sub brands. It's as if whoever fulfilled the order just grabbed five random skeins of a similar color of what I ordered and threw them in a box.

Not to mention I also ordered a tube of paint with the yarn, and there was no precaution taken to make sure the paint was in a plastic bag or sealed of any kind in case of leakage. Thankfully it arrived intact.

I tried to call the store, but the phone rang and rang for minutes. Nobody ever answered after several attempts. I'm not sure if they were having issues with the phone, if they are understaffed, or if their employees are just ignoring the phone. But both experiences were completely unprofessional and...

Good craft store, "but" Saturday it wasn't that busy and I couldn't get anyone to help me with getting 2 heavy items down from the top of the top shelf. I asked for help, they called for help, I stood there weighting for at least 20 minutes. Unfortunately today was the last day of a sale and getting a nice discount on top of it. Ever since they let the wrong people go the customer service has sucked and the atmosphere has definitely changed. I think that if I need something important I'll just have to order it or go to Napa Michael's. Today wasn't the first time something like that has happened to me there. 12-23-2022 My last review wasn't to great and I think it was 3 yrs ago. Things have gotten better since.
