If I could give 0 stars, I would. Made an appointment for my dog 2 months prior to appt date. Arrived and was told my appointment had been switched to someone other than who I booked with. I asked why I was switched and was told by Danni (the person I was switched to) that she didn’t know. Eventually I was told I could see the original person I booked with (booked with her because I was told she was a good groomer) but that I would have to wait 45 minutes, which I didn’t mind. 30 minutes later, Danni came out and told me Shay would not be able to take my dog, nor would she! I was sooo confused as to how I had an appointment but no one could take him. I ended up speaking to the manager who told me maybe they could give me a free grooming in the future so I left but never once did I cause any type of scene. A couple of weeks later I came back to see how I could redeem my free grooming and I was told that I had been dismissed from the salon! Huh? What? They proceeded to tell me that I was dismissed because I didn’t want Danni to groom my dog because of her skin color! That was a bold faced lie!!! I never said or implied that in any way. That is defamation of character, completely absurd, and again, a bold faced lie! Also, they put this lie into their computer that shows up at every Petco.
I feel that I was not valued as a customer, I was treated with disrespect, wrongfully dismissed from the salon and lied on, which is the worst than anything else. I have complained to corporate but have not received any action yet. I was able to get my free grooming but had to go to a city much further out which was very inconvenient.
I don’t recommend going to Petco in Vallejo if that’s the way they are going to be treating loyal customers. I’ve been a customer there for almost 4 years. That’s bad business and their employee, Danni, should be dismissed for lying on me.

I have been going to petco in hopes to find a decent LIve food for my pet box turtle,that is 25yrs :), for over 2 yrs. there seams to be a lack of Fresh Worms in this store. every container ( even on the so call delivery days the mangers told me about Weds.)I open just about every container of super worms to find old dead and very smelly worm skins so black You know they have been there for a very very long time. I asked a manager at this petco why dont they just throw the bad stuff out so we the customers do not have to open all of them to try and find some sort of LIVE worm. this is what SHE said. The customers come in and open all the containers stealing by adding more worms to the container they are buying. I looked at her like REALLY! come on now like some one is stealing these black shells of long dead super worms. I shook my head and told the manager I do not understand . all i want is to buy a fresh live product for a pet I have been tending for many years, after all this is a PETCO right? you are a manager here right. will you at least clean the dead worms and through them away and make room for new worms? she rolled her eyes and said not the case here and she walked off. never ever will I again go to that store, I will blog and I will always tell this store to whom ever has a pet in vallejo that wishes to feed live fresh worms to. very very said sad excuse of...

We were sold an ill Bearded Dragon who was notably dehydrated we tried to nurse her back to health but ultimately her calcium and vitamin deficency was too great and she passed. These were pets for our 4 young children. When we called to explain what happened the manager told us we had to bring in the Beardie's dead body to prove she passed. Absolutely disgusting. When we brought her in the employee was appauled and said he didnt need to see her dead body. We had to ask if it was okay to bring our Beardie home a bury her. There was no real sincerity. Her response was, "yah we can let you do that". I am so appauled by them treating these animals as if theyre just transactions. Their other Beardies look like they have possible defirmities from a lack of calcium. They really should step up their care or just stick to the basic pets if they're not willing to put in the effort and care it takes to have these animals. I saw the employees care and love for the birds and the cats but have such poor knowledge on the reptiles. Do better. Stop buying from poor breeders and care for the reptiles better. We also bought a 100ct mealworm from them that had maybe 10 mealworms as well as all of their crickets were dead sitting in containers with moldy water/food sources. Absolutely disgusting.
