The managers really need to talk to their employees. I was in the drive thru waiting behind a car who was taking quite a while to order. I was in the mood for a shamrock shake. Iâm a very nosy person so I like seeing what other people order. And I see a shamrock shake and a shamrock McFlurry. âOh cool these people got a shake, something that Iâm gonna order:)â the person in front finishes their order and pulls forward. I start telling my order and to finish it off I ask for a large shamrock shake. The employee taking my order then says âsorry we arenât serving any shakes at the moment our machine is downâ my jaw drops and I proceed to tell the employee that I just witnessed the car in front of me order not one but TWO shamrock items. I then tell them guy I literally saw the car in front order shamrock items. He then pauses for a moment and says âyeah itâs literally breaking as we speakâ. I then just only want the other items I wanted and pay. I then get to the 2nd window. Very nice guy lets me know the food will be out shortly. As we are waiting I ask the guy âquick question, is your guys shake machine down?â He gives me a weird look on his face and says âno mamâ I then tell the guy that the person who took my order said the machine was literally breaking the time I was ordering. The guy then leaves to go check on the machine and comes back and says âwhat size shake would you like mam?â Now this guy was very very nice and gave us a free shamrock shake. The managers really need to talk to their employees about lying to customers. If you donât like making shakes then you must not like your job and shouldnât be working. The fact that the machine was PERFECTLY fine but the guy at the speaker straight up lied to my face. Now I NEVER have a problem at this McDonaldâs and every is so very nice but this one time really made...
Read moreFor starters I want the state I am giving the location and management of said location one star as for the rest of the McDonald's as a franchise it's McDonald's. Problems number one my order is simple a double hamburger ketchup lettuce onion that's it it's not rocket science... Apparently this location cannot get it right The receipt is right always the food is wrong I don't know where the malfunction is is it management not teaching the cooks is it the fact that the cooks can't read I don't know this particular location always gets my food wrong. However to to probably most of your surprises Management is usually very polite kind and apologetic about the wrong order and it's usually fixed the first time... Yes this location has gotten my order wrong three times in a row in the same visit and the same 20 minute. They've been this way for the last several years I've written complaint cards written corporate no response no change. The location further down the road in Valparaiso near Menards will get a five-star rating for me they're wonderful they've never screwed up my food at that location it's just the location on Calumet avenue I don't know what it is. I could understand if the receipt is wrong the ticket on the burger is wrong but those are all right and this has been through a combination of in-person orders before the lockdown and app order and they're still getting it wrong and I'm punching it on the phone correctly hopefully management will see this and work on fixing it every time I go back hoping it's fixed and I am not surprised because nothing has changed. I don't know who is the blame whether it's corporate management the managers or the employees something's wrong at that location guys fix it please. I look forward to hopefully being able to update the review someday to or more...

Went to the McDonalds on Calumet today for a quick cheap lunch while I was at work. While I was eating, an employee got sent on break and attempted to get her employee meal. The manager came out and loudly proclaimed to the employee that she was not eligible for an employee meal because she clocked in late this morning. The manager did this loud enough and in a public enough setting for the entire restaurant to hear and loud enough to embarrass the employee in front of the customers. When the employee said okay and walked away to sit down, I approached the employee and asked if she needed a lunch to which she said yes. I then told the employee to come to the counter with me and that I would purchase her whatever she wanted for lunch. When we got to the counter and the employee attempted to order the food she wanted, the manager refused to serve us so I took the employee to the kiosk to order her a lunch. Regardless of policy or anything else, itâs ridiculous that a manager would treat an employee in such a way especially in front of customers. If thereâs a legitimate policy reason for the employee to not get a lunch, pull the employee aside away from customers and explain that to them in private. I will not be giving this McDonalds my business any longer and I will be telling everyone I know not to do the same. I will also be reaching out to the local management about this encounter and request that this manager receives additional training on how to properly and professionally treat...
