They were busy because it's Valentine's Day and their system was down, but the way the situation was handled was bad. I communicated with them that I was there for an online order pickup. It was 10 min past my pickup time and my order wasn't ready. I was advised the system was down, but that it would only be a few more moments. I waited for a half hour for my order until I walked back up and asked for a status update on my food. I was told that the system was down and that the order hadn't come through - after I had already sat there for a half hour. It cut into my Valentine's Day date too. I don't know why they couldn't have told me that and I wonder how much longer I would have been waiting had i not gone up and asked about it myself.
UPDATE 3/3/23 Another horrible experience. DONT ORDER MOBILE PICKUP, ORDER IN LINE AT THE RESTAURANT. For some reason, this seems to be the much quicker, more convenient option. I arrived to the restaurant 10 min after my order pickup time. It wasn't ready, so I told the guy at the register my name and he said that they would work on it. I stood there for 20 min and waited. I went back up and asked if my food was almost ready. Three employees heard me, looked right at me and then at each other, said nothing, and went about what they were doing. I didn't get an answer. Then, the girl who was doing the online orders went on her lunch break. So I stood there for 10 more minutes while I watched several more people in line get served before my order was made. The entire time, the store manager was standing at a table in the dining room talking with some friends and having a great time. I had just gotten off a 12 hour shift and standing there waiting over half an hour for an order that should have been ready when I got there was not what I wanted to be doing. I'm also extremely disappointed with the service and treatment I received. These people are incompetent. How hard is it, really? Everyone here, including the store manager (the big lady with the glasses), needs to be fired and replaced. This place is GHETTO as hell. And they respond to the reviews on here, saying they will address the store about these issues, but nothing ever changes so i doubt they actually do. I won't be ordering mobile pickup from here again, I'll just go...
Read moreMy partner and I sometimes go to this QDOBA after the gym. We go to the gym in the evenings, so we usually show up around 9-9:30pm or so. On the weekend we usually go during the day, and their day staff are great. Their evening crew is not so. I guess I can barely excuse them being out of a third of their stuff because it's the evening (even if they still don't close for two hours after we show up... Do the staff just not bother restocking after a certain time?), but at the very least they could stand to actually make my food correctly. There's been several times now where they give me or my partner the wrong stuff, or shoddy portions. My brisket birria + steak bowl was missing the steak and half the birria was chunks of fat, and I had no salsa on it. Instead they subbed straight tomato, which I don't particularly care for. My partner was also missing his veggies. The order was also placed ahead of time and we showed up after it was supposed to be ready... Proceed me standing there for ten minutes and waiting patiently for my order to be made. Line guy eventually makes it (and complains about the amount of toppings on it... Oh no, God forbid you do the job you get paid for, right?), cashier tosses it on the back counter and continues to disregard me to continue chatting up her buddy on FaceTime. Wasn't until another staff member asked me and grabbed the order.
Like, I get it. Working in food sucks. I've done it before. That doesn't mean it's OK to disregard your customers and mess up their orders. If you don't have a specific item, you need to tell them and ask them if they want to sub, especially if it's something with extra cost like protein. Just because it's getting later in the evening doesn't mean it's OK to just stop stocking items either. Like, no salsa or veggies? Come on.
Am I gonna keep coming here? Yeah, because it's on the way home and filling after a workout. Do I particularly enjoy the experience? No, not really. The staff are nice enough but they aren't that attentive to their customers or work, and unfortunately friendliness is only one aspect of...
Read moreI've been a long time consumer of Qdoba and was elated when I learned that one was coming to Belleville. When I first visited Qdoba, the food assembly line was a little slow and there was food all over the counters. I attributed this to the store being new and they had to continue to train the staff.
I visited again a month or so later and the dining area was filthy as well as the production line, trash was overflowing the trash can under the sink behind the counter. I was very turned off and not to mention I heard a manager yelling and degrading a few of the workers about cleaning the dining area instead of services the customers. I was totally baffled and that didn't sit well with me to hear an adult speak to another adult in that manner. Once I ate my food at home (6 mins away) My food was very bland and not the standard way Qdoba food is seasoned. So I contacted a manager and I was allowed to come back replace my food.
I went in today really hoping things had turned around especially since much time has passed. Sadly, that was not the case. The store was way worse off. The food production line had food all over it, trash was again overflowing the trash can. There was what looked to be a large Tupperware top on the floor in the kitchen and a worker kicked it with her foot. On my way out there was soda on the floor near the soda dispenser and black syrup which looked to be the syrup used to mix with the carbonated beverages. Many of the tables were dirty, and there was trash on the floor near the front door trash can.
Enough is enough. I will no longer eat at the Belleville Qdoba. If the dining area, food assembly line and kitchen are filthy, I can't imagine the food is prepared and...
