I was able to join the friends and family day with the soft opening, and I ordered take out today so this review is based on both experiences.
The food is great and love the atmosphere, but I do think the hostess could use a little more training or experience, I understand the restaurant just opened so that’s not coming from a harsh place.
When I came in and dined there was confusion about a high chair…..I was standing right there and asked if I could have a high chair for my 14m old and she acted confused, I stated I need the tall one and she still turned and asked her coworkers which one she needed to grab even though I told her which one I needed. The server was nice, and the experience went well, but we waited an extremely long time for our food, our entire section cleared out before our food was even brought to us.
Then today I ordered take out and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. We waited 40 minutes for to go food….
Thirdly as happy as I am that there are gluten free options, it doesn’t seem like the quality is as good as the regular food and I don’t mean in the sense of taste really gluten free food is well gluten free but when my French toast came out when I dined in, some of the pieces were just bread not even battered in egg mixture and cooked just bread….then today with my to go order, my husband and I got the same thing and his came with two pieces of toast and I got one slice of toast and I was uncharged 79 cents for having to have gf bread so why did I receive less if my meal costed more money? Every other restaurant I’ve been to also keeps the portions the same you just pay a few dollars more to accommodate it being gluten free but I’ve never been charged more AND shorted on the portion so that’s something I’d like to see fixed.
Overall I’m happy to see a new restaurant in Belleville, especially one that offers GF options because other places do not, I truly hope this restaurant thrives and over time these...
Read moreThe food was zero out of 10. This was the worst breakfast I’ve ever had in my life. The eggs were soft, almost raw with no flavor. The sausage had no flavor and was undercooked. The potatoes were not boiled long enough because they were still hard. The pancakes tasted like water, no flavoring no milk taste nothing and they were not cooked long enough either. All the food here was undercooked and lacked a lot of flavor. If you value flavorful food do not eat here! I was very excited about this restaurant opening up, but was quickly disappointed at the food and the service. We arrived and not only did they say it was going to be a wait to sit down but also a 30 minute wait for our food to come out, which I’ve never been told at any restaurant ever. We were able to be seated at the bar quickly. As we were sitting down, I get a phone call 30 minutes in and the waiter is saying that my table is ready even though I was already sat down. Embarrassing. I think they could do a better job with seating because there were a lot of tables open and a lot of people waiting. I had 8 seats open the entire time I was at the restaurant. The staff never filled those seats. The staff needs more training. The servers were nice, but they kept running around all over the place and it was very chaotic and they did not know what was going on, so I would recommend more training for them. If could give this a zero on reviews I would, but I can only...
Read moreWith all due respect. I loved having a new brunch spot in Belleville. However, if you would like to save money on good breakfast, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!
To start off, there was a wait to sit and a disclaimer that the food would take 30 minutes. We finally got a bar seat and noticed no wipe down from the previous diners, they just moved dirty napkins and put a menu for us to dine. The drinks were okay!
The main star of the show was the food. So I got my typical breakfast: Sausage, Eggs, Potatoes, Pancakes. Considering that we waited for about 40 minutes for breakfast I would think it was worth the wait. I smelled test everything! Pancakes smell and taste like hotel mix (very water and thin) Potatoes wasn’t cooked enough, eggs taste like hotel continental breakfast and the sausage I didn’t even touch. Lack of seasoning on everything! Not a fan of this new breakfast spot. Only thing I like was how quick I got the bill. My server was very kind. But everything was a bit sloppy and choatic. I understand this place just opened up so there is some grace, but I hope to see this place bounce back and make some...
