Growing up in SW Connecticut and living in NY, I ate lots of the amazing, thin-crust pizza that came with the location having suffused the local food scene with Italian immigrant food culture and traditions. As I haven't been back East in decades having moved to the West coast in the early 2000's, I always seek-out the authentic New York style pizzas anywhere I went over the years. Thankfully, we discovered NYC Pizzeria just nearby where we now live in Vancouver, WA, and it is worth splurging on every time you get a craving! This particular business is unique in that the owners have not only outstanding pizza, baked ziti (highly recommend with meatballs!), sub sandwiches and calzones (and a delicious gyro wrap!) etc., but they also have dovetailed their menu to offer a variety of Indian style pizzas! I've never heard of such a thing, so we did try the masala chicken eventually and really enjoyed the different toppings and flavors, even if I tend to stick to my favorite pizza combos most of the time. This may not be like, the top Zagat rated restaurant, but it's pretty fantastic and the building is always clean. Pricing is a little high but justified in the quality of their products. We usually get a couple pizzas, a gyro, and meatball ziti, comes out to about $50. They did open a second location in Portland, so they're doing something right! I like the personal touches that give it an old school NY vibe; NYC photos, usually sports on TV, rtc. The staff are always friendly, greet you right away, and have great customer service. I like seeing staff happy at their jobs as it reflects back on the owners that they are doing an awesome job meeting the needs of their staff and the community. It's always a treat for my boyfriend and I to kick-off our weekend with some takeout from NYC Pizzeria. I highly recommend giving them a try if you...

Only regret is not waiting for it to cool down, I burnt my mouth but I couldn’t wait. I just love the ginger, cilantro and everything about this pizza. It’s good burning hot, cooled and cold. Got a small pizza and a slice for $20 and change. It didn’t take that long either with other orders and people steadily coming in just after 12pm.
UPDATE: 09/02/2023 Once again NYC hit the spot. We've been craving a good slice and always complain that Gresham/Portland near us, there is no where for a good slice other than hopping the bridge and coming here. Young man at the counter was very nice and efficient taking care of the people. I have to say also this place is a VIBE so if you don't like the sports on the TV or like the toppings they add to their pizza it just isn't for you then. If I lived closer to here, all I'd ever want is pizza, and their salad.
Been coming here off and on since the end of 2018. First date place my bf took me. He's from back east and since moving to the west coast he swears by this place. The staff is always so friendly, fast and focused. He got 3 slices today of pep and I got a pep and cheese with a chicken salad. I tried their ceaser dressing and it's SO good. The salad was a full, for $8 and I really don't have any complaints. The portion was enough to fill me, big slices of fresh tomatos and crunchy lettuce. The ratio was perfect. Again the freshness alone made it worth the price.
We've had one of the Indian pizzas in the past, and that chicken with the ginger and cilantro on the pizza omg so good. We live in Gresham so don't always have a chance to go over the bridge but it's ALWAYS worth coming here. So satisfying and we always crave it. THANK YOU NYC Pizzeria.

Read moreHorrific customer service. We finally ordered here, our family does not eat out much as we have five children and seven people total. In today's economy it's hard to be able to afford to eat out. So it was treating ourselves and our children to treat ourselves to a expensive meal that night and paid almost $100 for pizza. the pizza we ordered our children was supposed to be half pepperoni and half cheese because some of our kids will eat pepperoni and some of our kids will absolutely not. And trying to pull it off is not as easy as it may sound.
Needless to say when we got our pizza home it was all pepperoni. We immediately called, and they of course took down our name and said no worries next time you come in we will make you a whole new pizza for free. Well it's been like 2 months and we almost completely forgot about it until tonight when it's been a long day and we are tired and we don't want to cook and the kids are hungry and we are like oh yeah we're supposed to have that free pizza. Well my husband called them and the guy is being a complete jerk and acting like we are just liars trying to get free food. Saying that he's never heard of my husband's name. Just absolutely insane. If I was trying to get free pizza wouldn't I just call freaking Domino's. I really do not think the pizza was worth almost $100 in the first place so I really don't think I would go out of my way to try to scam them. Especially for only one pizza that will only feed my kids when I can just go get a pizza the same size that tastes better for $10 at Costco. Needless to say I'm very unhappy with this service, I've worked in customer service almost my entire life in one way or another and I would never treat a customer...
