I put in a to go order for the 192nd location so I thought. It went to the checklock location I called the location that had my order and asked if it could be switched to the 192nd location. The gentleman at the 192nd location Honestly really didn't seem to care. Really was an honest mistake I have been working nights? I swear I put in the hundred and ninety second location because I was going to grab it on my way to work. After the lovely lady talking with the gentleman about how he can just make me. The bowl and basically corporate can take care of it and the money should be transferred to their restaurant. He proceeded to say that he doesn't think that they're gonna get the money and usually have issues with that. So I just said forget it I will just go down to the check off location. I get there and the two lovely ladies there on thursday night on four twenty l o l Hands me the bag and says she compt it Working nights have made me a little emotional. I'm not gonna lie lol. I just thought it was the sweetest thing I told her she didn't have to. I just wish I would have got her name I was very appreciative I go to cafe i'm quite a bit and I definitely will be going to this location now from now on even though the 192nd location is closer. I kinda feel like the 192nd location is kinda snobby. I mean to each there own. But as a resta owner I would have just made that person their order knowing they have to be at work in 20 mins and seen I paid for it... I mean I get it but dude it's just rice sauce and avocado that we pay 14 bucks for... thank you chaklov location!!!! you didn't have to comp me, things like this make me think there is hope in...
Read moreThis was my first experience with Cafe Yumm, so I don't know if it is chain wide or specific to this location, but my husband and I joked it should be called Cafe Yuck after we left. (And by left I mean we left 3/4 of our meals behind, and wrote this off as a loss.) My husband got the teriyaki chicken. The chicken was a disgusting grey color, was rubbery, and seemed like it was cooked days ago. The teriyaki sauce was disgusting, as were the two sauces that came on the side. He said the ginger coleslaw was the only edible (note: edible, not good) thing, and that's ironic because he hates ginger. I got a Yumm Bowl. Enter disappointing... it was over $10 after I added the disgusting southwest chicken. Again, the chicken appeared to be cooked days ago, and the seasoning was meh to say the least. The other ingredients weren't bad per se; however, it was just rice, olives, tomatoes, avocado, and shredded cheese. And it was very expensive considering the portion size and knowing how inexpensive those ingredients are. As for the "Yumm Sauce" that itself is what made the bowl inedible. It was overly tart/sour, the flavor was off putting, and just over all wrecked what little appeal there was to the food. Beyond the terrible food, they have filtered water readily available, which sounds nice, until you drink it and find out that it is warm water, and if you want ice you have to ask for it. The ONE thing I will give them credit for is, if you eat in, they do not use any disposable dishes/utensils, so I can appreciate that. Beyond that, don't...
Read moreSo I've been going to this place for two years. I probably visit once or twice every couple of weeks maybe? Every single time, I have a problem. I’m always hopeful that they’re going to go fix it the next time I go, but they don’t.
Anytime I make an order I make sure to clearly specify to please, for example, add amino acids or both chicken and tofu. Every single time I get charged for those extra things that I add to my order. Once I receive my order, I I check it and I don’t have the right item.
The first few times they go to fix it of course. It’s gotten to the point where they have made so many mistakes and I’m tired of asking them to fix it. I have no time in my schedule to pull off to the side and check my order just to go back into the store and tell them to fix it. Or to at least give me the items that I had paid for when I initially made my order.
It’s unfortunate that as a customer, my requests and needs are not being met and whether or not it’s intentional, I do not feel respected with what I want to eat from their establishment. I get 10 times better customer service on 192nd. I will no longer be going to this establishment because I never have my order right.
I now drive an extra 15 to 25 miles to get to the café Yum on 192nd because I know they will get it right every single time. Without fail. I am really really disappointed...
