I would personally not recommend going there Because of a few reasons.
1st reason is the taste of coffee I thought that it was way too burnt and it would have been fine. But it also was very very bitter but not in a good way.
2nd reason is the cleanliness on the day that I was there there was a lot of dust on the coffee machine and on the counters There was also way too many decorations which also had dust and most tables were clean but the ones on the far sides were also dusty. And then when I went into the bathroom that was also very unpleasant to be in.
I also thought that the style of the coffee shop was a mixture that didn't really fit the vibe. music that was playing way too loud . And a chipped cup didn't really do it for me.
From the outside I think the coffee shop actually looked pretty nice and very appealing. I also think that the area around there is very nice and good for a walk. If you're planning on going on a date but if you're planning on sticking around there I wouldn't recommend it.
I also ordered a latte there and the the foam was way too thick it was more of a cappuccino than a latte.
I also don't think I would really call it a coffee shop because they also sell beer and wine there as well as sandwiches. So it's more of a coffee shop/bar/wine tasting room/diner. I don't really know what they were trying to do with it but I don't think it works...
Read moreThe food was very delicious, and it looks like a nice, cozy place. I ordered a coffee and a sandwich on a weekend day at around 2 o'clock. The place looked busy, so it's understandable that there would be a bit of a wait.
I got my coffee first after what felt like 10 minutes or so, but my sandwich took about 40 or more minutes to make.
After about 20 minutes, I checked with them to see if they were making my sandwich. I was told "it was on the grill." After some more waiting, I was asked by one of the workers if I was waiting for something. I told them I was waiting for my sandwich. They apologized and told me it should be coming up shortly. Then, it was found that there was a miscommunication, and in reality, no one was making my sandwich. They apologized again and assured me my sandwich was coming soon. I waited some more, but by the time, I got my sandwich, I wasn't sure I wanted it anymore.
Usually, to compensate for the unreasonably long wait and a miscommunication on their part, the company would give some sort of discount or a free item, but there was nothing of that sort. I wasn't a happy customer, when I left the building.
I understand this may be a one-off, once in a blue moon type of thing, and we all make mistakes, but my experience there was not a pleasant...
Read moreWhy is the coffee sooooo burnt and bitter?!?! Some of the worst coffee in the city, but the location is amazing. Food is decent. I think the owners need to go taste the coffee at places like Paper Tiger, and River Maiden in order to understand what coffee should taste like. It's just gross. The location is amazing and is probably the only reason that they are still open! If they stepped up the coffee game, they would probably have way too much business and couldn't handle it. And this isn't just my opinion, I have personally brought about 10 or 12 people into that coffee shop, and they all agree completely with what I had to say. Half of them tossed out their drinks. I live next-door and I wish every day it was so much better. I would spend my $7 a day at this place every day instead of having to travel to find a cup of coffee that isn't bitter. Burnt. Worse than Starbucks. And that's impressive please for the love of God get some...
