So i guess maps doesn't know where you actually are/were and also sometimes when you visited a particular area. We went down to the river last night but on the Oregon side!! And it's saying we visited today. We were there last night around 8. There are considerable difference between the two: (1) they're separate states! & (2) they're different times/days! Read moreThe surprise is sometimes it's there and sometimes it isn't. Usually, the beach widens and narrows due to the tides. Right now (May 2017), it's underwater due to flooding. Access is not easy. You either have to climb down rocks or hike in through (often) homeless camps from the north (but easier access). All along the waterfront is popular when the sun comes out with an ample walkway, and plenty of benches, garbage cans, and restaurants. A great spot for watching people, sailboats, and sunsets. Read moreThe map originally lead us to the housing right on the other side of the beach. We got the tip to park anywhere on the street and then walk over to it. There is a wide pathway where people are walking/running/bicycling, that you pass and climb down one of the two pathways of rocks to get to it.
