Spot Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Vancouver

I'm regular enough that the bartenders know what I want as I walk through the door service has dropped considerably the last few months. A couple days ago a friend and I couldn't get the drinks we wanted because the bartender doesn't like to make them. Today I waited to cash out while the bartender ate and then answered the phone. Not nearly as much fun as it used to be.

For certain, don't visit here on a weekend day. Staff is nothing like the weekday help. Food takes forever, customers are an afterthought. Systems before people. Spend your money someplace else.

5 April 2025. Stopped by in the afternoon for a quick beer. Was told by the bartender that I had an unpaid tab from March 18th. The person drank Vodka, I don't. The name on the tab wasn't mine. Yet, Cindi Lou is telling people I walked out on a tab. I've never run a tab there when they didn't have my card. March 18th I was at work. I like all of the staff there except one bouncer. I was playing chess with someone and this dude would NOT leave us alone and when we told him to stop he got very violent and threatening. I told the bouncer and he confirmed the guy was threatening people but then let the guy stay. I said I didn't feel safe and I cashed out to leave. I had my phone, keys and wallet in one hand and my chessboard in the other. I used the SIDE of my foot to gently open the door to leave and the bouncer told me I was banned for 30 days for kicking the door. He's either friends with violent dude or he didn't like that I asked him to do his job. I have been going here for almost a year without any issues. Spending way more money than I honestly should. I won't be back after that unless that bouncer is dealt with. They have shootings and fights in the parking lot. Cops are called all the time. The Spot has a SERIOUS security issue. Just recently found myself exploring and open to visit places that are new to me.. My friend suggested us to visit the spot, in doing so! May I say😋 I had so much fun🤩 great place, walked in and an instant happy fun surrounding. It's not a huge place, but perfect for the regulars and the few new visitors 👍 Polite Security greeting upon enterance. Bar run from pretty much the beginning entering to the right. Bar follows all the way until the second step lower level where there is comfortable seating and karaoke and platform stage for performing.
