Taste of China Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Vancouver

We ordered what we usually get from taste of China cause it’s super good. Waited about 40 mins for delivery. As I was sitting on the couch, I heard the door knob make a clicking sound (like it does when someone opens the door). I didn’t think too much of it cause I thought it was someone coming home. I then look up and theres the delivery guy. I have never been so startled, frightened, nor blown away in my entire life. I called and spoke with an employee in which he was rude and told me a manager will call me back. 10 minutes later, the manager called me, and completely backed his employee up, told me I was wrong, and got super rude. Needless to say, since there was nothing that was done, I wouldn’t be surprised if this happens again. I’ve played with the idea of making a police report just Incase this happens to someone else so that it’s punishable next time. This is not about the money or anything else, this review is simply out of the way I felt when it happened. It was not okay and the fact that the manager isn’t doing a single thing is beyond me.

We were seated promptly.Been looking for a new Chinese restaurant,since our favorite changed owners. ORDERED crab puffs,egg roll,spring rolls for a appetizer. The puffs were awesome as were the spring rolls.The egg roll was good,but some of the veggies that were in it,were a bit to strong.Ordered entrees #3 & #7. Food came out of the kitchen fairly fast.The fried rice was moist and tasted fine.The bq pork was a little dry.The shrimp was very good,not overly breaded,and not overcooked and not greasy.The chow mein was fresh and not smothered in sauce and was fantastic.The egg foo young was one of the best I have ever had. Cooked just right and extremely fluffy. The service was the best I have had at a Chinese restaurant,multiple people clearing plates,refilling drinks and friendly with smiles,diffinetly not the norm at other restaurants.The bathrooms were clean as was the dinning room.Had a conversation with the owners brother,told me history of the restaurant and that his brother was a owner of the taste of Asia that closed on fourth plain. We placed an order online through grub hub which we had used to specifically find someone who delivered to our neighborhood. The estimated wait time was an hour ten to an hour twenty which we thought was ridiculous, but we had already put in our order and hoped the food would be amazing. At an hour thirty minutes we called and they informed us that we were out of delivery range and they had CANCELLED our order, without telling us. They had our phone number and address on file and were never going to tell us that our dinner was not on its way. At 830 at night by the way, not exactly dinner time rush. Taste of China blamed grubhub and said they had called grub hub to let them know . Why the hell would you call grubhub and not your customer that is sitting waiting for their dinner to arrive? This was completely unacceptable and not how anyone should run a business. Never again would I order anything from these people in person or online.
