Tonallis Doughnuts & Cream — Restaurant in Vancouver

As I did roll along that dusty highway, minding my own business, I felt a pulling like that from a great star in the dancing of planets or the hearts of young men in spring. I felt an immense need to yank on my steering wheel into this desolate parking lot and come to rest unexpectedly at the door of Tonallis Doughnuts & Cream… Bavarian Cream that is. O frabjous day! I chortled in my joy! I had thought perhaps to pick up maybe one or two items for my wife, but got a little carried away. The staff were great! Engaged and excited by their product! Proud of their little world! It made me, a fellow small business owner excited and proud to be there with them! Because it was my first time, the owner’s brother tossed in a few extras and everything felt like it had been made with the true love of ownership.

The coming years are going to bring a lot of change and turmoil. There may be loss of jobs and unrest, confusion and division, but the thing that brings us together is small businesses creating things they love and being supported by their community. It will be people recognizing the love and hard work that other people put into their dreams. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Tonallis like family. I mean family I like, not the kind that shows up for free food at weddings and thanksgiving. As a disabled veteran getting out and around isnt always easy, so I get their delicious items delivered. Only when I think a treat is warranted, but who doesn't love a nice treat? Their doughnuts...cake style? Feels like you are in a great nonna's kitchen getting spoiled...outside is just the right crispness while inside is smooth and scrumptious. They have filled, too. My husband loves the home made taste of the jellies. I am alllll about the silkiness of the boston cream filled. They don't taste oily or heavy the way Voodoo or Blue Star seem to... Instead, the airy light dough seems blender whipped. You won't have oily hand prints. The ingredients just above par...I can sometimes picture some fairy princess whispering secret recipes to the bakers. And inlike National brands, you won't need a recocery antacid..(ahem...krispy...ahem kreme)

My all time favorite donuts-Tonallis....thanks for the sweet notes on all my orders, too. And...the extra yummies that magically appear every time I get a delivery? Joyful...

I have gone in several times and honestly have not had the best of service. Most of the time if you ask the employees a question they always tell me they don't know. I have stopped by a few time during business hours and there is a sign on the door that they will be right back but who knows what time that will be. Then I placed an order online about a month ago for a custom donuts as they promote that they do that and since I had not heard from them I went in to confirm and the gal there did not have any clue as to what was going on or even how a custom donut order is placed. Then she told me that if I have not heard back from them then they probably choose not to do my order. This is by far the worst service, if you are taking custom orders and you are not able to fulfill them a courtesy email or call would be appreciated so that your customer can find something else. Now I do agree that their donuts are probably the best and that is why I have gone back several times but I think at this point I will start gong else where as service to me is just as important as the quality of what you...
