checked into the hotel and it looked pretty shoddy.
The pool was closed and looked like there was a lot of work going on outside.
We booked a suite for three nights. This suite was kind of crappy too.
We decided to check out right away and we billed for the full amount of three days after being told by the clerk that they were only going to take $50 out of my account for incidentals.
Spoke with the manager the next morning and she assured me that the money would just fall off and this was over $438. they charged me and I didn’t even stay a night
I explained to the manager that we just used our llcredit card that we used for bills to pay this $50 fee and not the rest. We were paying with a Wyndham credit card to get all points.
So needless to say, we did not get our points we lost our money. I did notify my bank and they put in a claim for the money and I hope we don’t have to go to that. I hope that they will honor and return our money as we never did stay there conditions were terrible.
Here it is two days later the money still has not been reversed and we out $430.04
We have stayed here before and have never had this issue and the hotel was much nicer and the pool was available. this time. It looked very crappy and working on the pool. We were not notified that there would not be a pool available
we then had to go to the checkout desk twice because the keys did not work
there was no manager on duty. There was just a young girl that didn’t know what she was doing.
She was afraid to ask For assistance and I felt bad for her, but I really felt bad for ourselves because we were left in a big dilemma.
we are retirees living down here in Florida for many years and have never experienced a problem like this before when you go to a hotel you check in and then you have the option of paying you would like when you leave.
The audacity of someone to charge us full price after they told us we only gonna charge you a $50 fee for incidentals is outrageous and I will never return to this...
Read moreWe didn't stay at the hotel so I have no comment on the rooms. We did however stop in the restaurant for their breakfast buffet. The staff people up front were not very friendly as they were talking amongst themselves and didn't acknowledge us. Even when they stopped talking they still didn't acknowledge us and when we asked if they still offered the buffet just answered yes without even indicating where the restaurant is located as it is not visible from the front desk. It was not crowded at all and we were there long before closing. They had a half a piece of French toast, very little bacon and ham, no waffles we're even offered and they're only option for toast was white bread. No bagels, English muffins or wheat toast. It's obvious their cook is not from the south as the sausage gravy was like water and had no taste and the biscuits were not impressive. The burners underneath the food trays we're sitting directly on the table so the food was barely warm. The worst part is that they automatically add an 18% gratuity to your bill and for what reason, they never brought out any additional food and the server only came to our table at the very end to pick up the dishes and leave the check. Don't...
Read moreI had my wedding at Hotel Venezia on Oct 12, 2024. If that date doesn't ring a bell; let me tell you. It was 3 days after Hurricane Milton made landfall on us. Despite all the chaos that was happening (no power, no service) Hotel Venezia came through!! It was THE MOST spectacular wedding ever. We even lost power during the reception and Caitlin kept cool and collective. She even personally went to the FPL worker who was working a block down and made them rush lol. The professionalism and kindness of the staff was unreal. I cannot believe they pulled this wedding off. A really HUGE shout out to Chef Chris Frazier. Holy Moly the food was so on point. Not one person complained. The dish was not only delicious the design of the plate was incredible. We had a traditional Polish Wedding and we traditionally have a meat cart/hut. They 👏 Rocked 👏 It 👏. Sebastian and I want to thank Caitlin, Chef Chris, DJ and the entire staff for the most incredible wedding ever....
