Unfortunately, had a rough experience at this store. I walked in and started talking to the gentleman who told me the price of some golf cart batteries. We loaded them in my car and I went to go check out with the lady at the register. She rang up the batteries but the prices were different than what he quoted me, so I told her that’s not the price he told me. She turned and looked at him and she said no, this is the price of the batteries. He simply shrugged his shoulders and said he made a mistake. I asked if they would honor his price and she said no. I was quite dumbfounded, but I still helped him take the Golf Cart batteries out of my car, as he had a knee brace on. While unloading I asked who owned the franchise as it says, it’s locally owned by the door and his response was “ a family.” I chuckled at his aloof statement, and I told him I gathered that by the sticker on the door. He didn’t answer my question. I then told him it was a terrible customer service experience, considering he misled me and they were not willing to honor the price he told me. At Batteries Plus it is only a 14 day return not a standard 30 day policy or extended 90 day return policy. No refund sign in the store, cashier did not point this out but I did find out from corporate the return policy is listed on the BACK of the receipt in small print. Even Walmart Electronics points out their limited return policy before you leave. Doesn't seem like an upfront and honest policy and more like a gotcha if you didn't pay attention consumer. I am surprised because I bought car key fob - lifetime warranty and a Duracell car battery with a great warranty from them without issue. I felt informed about the other products with wonderful customer service but in this instance not so much. The poor rating is for letting me feel like a foolish customer. What a joke. Terrible customer service. Will not return. I’ve never been denied installation with a sign on their door that says they can install batteries. As soon as I walked in I asked if they had batteries that would fit my car and he asked what car I had. After looking it up and supposedly they have the battery and can help he immediately has the audacity after looking it up to say “I can do this but can you come back tomorrow because the guy in the back can’t come up to watch the front of the store”.
