Sugar Boba x Pho — Restaurant in Venice

New and small place. Mostly for take out but it does have a number of tables. The place was clean with parking in the back and right off 41 in Nokomis. Very close to Venice. The owners were very friendly and helpful. I had Pho with beef brisket and tendon and it was great. A dense brown broth with lots of flavor. Enough for two to split. I did take out and it was good for lunch and dinner. I also bought chicken wings for my wife that are fried and called lemongrass and garlicky. She loved them and I tasted them as well and they were excellent and unique. Then I ordered a order spring rolls. These are not friend and they are rice paper on the outside. One can add your choice of shrimp, pork, beef, etc to the filling of rice noodles I believe with mint, etc. Very nice and the order come with 2 rolls that are substantial. I have lived in Venice for 17 years and really wanted a nice Pho place. Finally! They also serve bobo drinks, but we passed on those today. Currently they are "modern" and you order on an ipad set up on the wall. I am an older fart so I got a bit frustrated with it, but the owner was very nice and took my order at the front desk. She said soon they will have some type of hand out paper menu. I really recommend giving this place a try. The food is as good or better than at much fancier sit down...

All I can say is I’m not fond of soups but I can eat their soup for the rest of my life without feeling I had enough. The ultimate is my favorite and I love it so much that I add extra protein and veggies and I end up having it for two days. The owner is one of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet and it’s a family restaurant and they treat you like family. I’ve been looking for healthy options of take out which you can do that here or eat in. The atmosphere is modern although it’s a small place it doesn’t feel small at all. And the bobas teas and drinks are to die for. I’m pretty picky when it comes to food and texture and every time I order from them is always fresh. They make their own bobas which I cannot ever go back to the fake once. I order at least once a week and sometimes twice a week from them because I just keep craving their pho. I’m soo happy that we finally have something like this in Venice. My favorite restaurant by far. I do also got to give props to everyone in the kitchen who makes their food they definitely know what...

Really impressed with this spot! My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. We ordered the beef pho, which was packed with rich, deep flavor and came in a huge portion …definitely great value. We also tried the garlicky lemongrass chicken wings, and wow super crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and bursting with flavor. Easily some of the best wings I’ve had in a while.

The boba tea was delicious too, and a perfect end to the meal. Prices are very reasonable, especially considering the generous portions.

The space has a clean, modern vibe, kind of Instagrammable when you walk in, with a cute neon-style sign right at the entrance. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table, which I really appreciate. Seating is a bit limited, but that didn’t bother us and it seems like a lot of people were ordering takeout anyway.

Overall, this was a fantastic experience and I’m definitely coming back to try more dishes. Great addition to the area....
