Great authentic, family restaurant. Very generous sized portions and good food. We had two of the taco salads, and you can select your meat, including mixing the meat options up. The fajita steak and chicken ontop of the salad was great. Others in my group had the pizza, which was phenomenal and the quesadella.

There's only about a dozen tables and we were happy to see they had several others in there for a middle of the week evening.

This is a great family restaurant where the owner and kids are cooking and serving you more of a home cooked or food truck style. The drinks are cans and bottled water, no free refills. I have no problem with that, but I see other reviewers seem to give poor reviews because they dont get free refills or free water. This is part of a new food truck style small family restaurant.

Family run and as authentic as you can get! This place is a new hidden gem! I want them to do well but am afraid it will be so popular we won’t be able to get a table anymore!!

Seriously though, if you’ve ever had authentic Mexican food you need to go here! If you’ve never had authentic Mexican food, you need to go here and see what you’ve been missing!

Very reasonable prices! For three people it was about $75. That included 3 meals, alcoholic drinks, desserts, and a rice water!! Everyone left full and happy!!!

Rice water…it’s like liquid rice pudding..it is delicious and refreshing!!! I haven’t had it in years and was excited to have it!! Give this place a try…and you’ll be inclined to write a 5 star...

Did a return run to Taqueria y frutería la mexicana to validate that it was as good as I thought the first time! It is amazing! The food is authentic and plentiful; the service is friendly and welcoming; the atmosphere is like a small Taqueria in Ensenada! This will be our go to for authentic Mexican food. On this trip we had Enchiladas, Fajitas with chicken and steak, and Pizza Birria that comes with a broth so good you can drink it! Our server, on both visits, Stephanie is wonderful. This is a family run place that we should all be taking advantage of!...
