Quick Summary Posted a review about 1-2 years ago and Andria's got back to me and sent a dinner voucher for 2. Recently used it, and the food and service was much better. This is a no-frills seafood restaurant that offers large portions Food- 4 stars Shrimp cocktail- this was pretty good and the shrimp was very fresh and juicy. Great start to the meal Grilled seabass plate- very large portions. My only complaint about their grilled fish dishes is that the fish can be dry (I guess it would be good if you come here to eat healthy). Would recommend adding some butter and salt (which they provide) onto the fish Cioppino- I was actually more impressed from their non-grill menu options. Similar to the previous dishes, this is a very large portion with large seafood pieces. It had decent flavor, but adding some wine to the soup would've elevated it higher Service- 5 stars It's a fast casual restaurant that offers indoor and outdoor seating. There are heat lamps available, so despite the heavy wind, it was still a comfortable outdoor experience Bottom Line Andria's is the no-frills seafood diner that offers excellent, large, and fresh seafood. But I would recommend trying their more battered options and other seafood options (instead of the grilled plate options) if you're looking for more flavor

We decided to go to Andria's due to the excellent reviews, especially in comparison to other restaurants in the area. Besides the clam chowder, the food was excellent: we enjoyed popcorn shrimp, fish, fries, etc. The clam chowder was average to say the least. However, our order wasn't made on time!!! We ordered around 8, and around 9 we went to check on our order we discovered it had never been made!! Our order had been completely forgotten. Fortunately the staff was extremely accomodating, and re-opened the kitchen and made our food and gave us cookies to appease us after closing time. The outdoor dining was a bit.....unsanitary. Obviously being an open plan, birds tend to nest in the rafters. However the edges around the seating area were lined bird feces. We finally decided to leave after a rat came out of the Dishes & Silverware cabinet looking for a morsel, with rat trap right outside!! Clearly this was not being put to good use. Due to our experience, we will not be returning. The following images are enclosed: the lining of the outdoor seating, the dishes and silverware cabinet where the rat came out, the birds in the rafters, and the rat trap outside. Please be sanitary guys๐๐๐ it's a bare necessity when running a business, especially when it's food service.

We went there for clam chowder and the clam chowder tasted like flour, it was really a bad experience....... normally Andria's has great food but this time it wasn't as good as it has been in the past. I told the cook so they could fix it but it'll be my last time going there for clam chowder, the other thing that's not so great about Andria's is that they use peanut oil and it can really make somebody irritable if they're allergic to it, they fry everything in peanut oil. you would think they would would change the oil to something that's a little more healthy for an overall large group, or at least have an option for people to have their fish fried in a different type of oil. Either way they have good food, maybe this time it was just a bad choice because of how busy they were for the The labor day Weeknd I'm guessing they did not have time to cook the clam chowder how it should have been cooked, and our clam chowder had very little clams in it it was mostly potatoes and carrots.

8-1-2019: Went back with the extended family and enjoyed another delicious meal. My wife and I shared the Halibut and salad and it was great. We also ordered clam chowder and it to was very delicious. We will definitely be back to eat. The only place I go in Ventura County for great fish and chips. I have ventured to other areas of the menu and they have been quite tasty. 8-26-18 Update: REDEMPTION- Halibut and chips, shrimp and chips, popcorn shrimp and chips, and the clam chowders were excellent. Much different food experience than our last visit. 4-22-18 Update: This was my favorite seafood restaurant for the past 20 years. But this last visit I was not impressed with the cod. It was more like a medium size fishstick then the thick pieces of cod they use to serve. Maybe Brophy Brothers will be a better choice? The clam chowder was tasty but the clams were scant. My son loves the popcorn shrimp and there were no issues with his
