The hoop earrings I purchased were ruined by the woman that has a hard time listening to someone speak to her English. [Even in her reply she is confused. English is obviously not her first language. I had to repeat my questions to her several times.] Unbeknownst to me the hoops were shoved into a tiny ziplock back too small for the earrings. Didn't notice the hoops were permanently warped until I got home 90 miles away! What a disappointment and waste of money. This woman needs to be trained on how to handle delicate items. [The response from staff only stresses the lack of care given to items purchased at no matter what the price. Gifts are given to others for sentimental reasons, not for the price, and items should be packaged in good condition regardless of monetary value.] I agree with the other reviewers. The overall disrespect towards customers is evident. You're treated as if you are not welcomed in an establishment that should be more than welcoming. The tone at which you are spoken to is one of arrogance and annoyance. Someone needs to train the staff or hire friendlier people. Such a shame for the mission. Instead of staff playing the victim self reflection and accountability is...
Read moreIt is a beautiful church and I was really glad I was able to take my mom to it. It wasn't too much of a journey, that it tired her out, it was very calming and I love the garden. It really is a good place to take your mom to. She could tell you such sweet stories, however I just wish that some people were little bit more respectful instead of acting all sort of honky tonk about it? Like, It there was this couple there that was cussing, acting touristy, I don't know how to describe it better. Treating the church like it was some roadside tourist trap. I had to make sure I steered my mom clear of then, I didn't want them to spoil her experience. I like to give props to those that were respectful and polite. The Latino artwork was beautiful, and I was so glad that my mom was able to understand everything fluently. I wish I spoke Spanish as well as her. I also want to give props to the women of front at the store. They are so kind and helpful. I love the mementos and religious items they had there too. Everything was made with...
Read moreWhat a jewel and I just stumbled upon the shop. There are many wonderful items to take home for gifts that are better than most of the gift shops in the area. I especially like the locally made lotion, the ceramic crosses, the medals, the cards and so many other items that fit in my suitcase. I love the wind chimes but could not manage them. It’s nice to find a special place that supports the historical mission that is a treasure indeed. If you have time, walk the grounds, enjoy the museum, visit the sanctuary and leave a donation. You’ll want...
