4.7 stars is selling this place short! This is hands down the best most authentic Mexican food I have had in a long time. The food was so flavorful. I had a shrimp burrito and my wife had the combo plate with cheese enchilada, taco, and chili relleno. The chips and salsa didn't stop and one of the guys came by and asked if we liked spicy salsa.... yes please. He brought us a habanero salsa that was not just straight fire. It had so much flavor. Keep making that for sure! The beer comes in an ice cold glass. Oh and you want atmosphere .... this place treats you like family. Watching the locals come and go as we ate dinner, definitely tells me this place is good. The staff is so friendly. The prices are great for the quality and quantity of food you get. It's a shame this place is over 5 hours from my house. With what they got going here I'm sure they will be here next time I'm in town. If you are not a local (like me) and you are looking for THE Mexican food place, come here. Just don't drive fast, I missed the entrance and had come back around. There is limited street parking but way more parking behind the restaurant in the alley. Have a...

Taqueria Tepatitlan is the real deal. First, let’s talk about the beer – it’s not just cold, it’s freezing 🍺❄️. They keep the glasses in an ice-cold freezer, and when they bring it out, there’s actual slush forming on the sides. Nothing hits better after a long day!
The food is always spot-on 🌮🔥. My all-time favorite is the chorizo breakfast wet burrito – I’ve ordered it at least five times, and it never disappoints. My new obsession? The beef taquitos. You get 4 huge taquitos, perfectly crispy, served with rice, beans, guacamole, sour cream, and fresh salad toppings. Every bite is a winner.
What really makes this place special is the people ❤️. Juan (the owner) and his daughter Kendra treat everyone like family, and the whole staff is just as welcoming. My boss and I go every Friday when we’re in Ventura, and it’s become our go-to spot. Amazing food, the coldest beer, and the kind of hospitality that keeps you...

Told me everything was made from scratch (except the tortillas, understandably), and that I will love the menudo, but to try the chicharron which is what my bf ordered. So I grab a delicious tortilla chip, and scoop up some of the sauce with a piece of pork and....I was instantly taken back to my childhood kitchen table, eating what my Mom has just made for dinner. It tasted JUST like what my mom made. It was delicious and having that memory come to me was awesome. I'm going back in a few days when I visit again. I cannot wait!!! Oh, and yes, it's perfectly fine to have a Michelada...
