Simones Coffee & Tea — Restaurant in Ventura

I've had the pleasure of knowing "Simone" since she ran the snack bar at the Pierpont Racquet Club years ago... Now, as successful as she made that gig, her two "Coffee Shops" reflect the classy person she is and the style she has. The "Coffee Menus" are outstanding, the snacks, bagels/pastries and always fresh, tasty and stylish. It would be nice for the place next to CMH to have WiFI service but the beverages and food are tops and the service at both locations is as prompt and classy as is Simone herself. I was in town for work and it was a 2 1/2 hr drive. This was the 1st place I went to, came in and looked at the menu. Then because of the drive asked if I can use the restroom. Employees were hesitant to provide me the key because I had not bought anything. Obviously I was going to buy something. I just couldn’t wait any longer to use the restroom. I purchased 2 items of about $17. I would have tipped better if I had not gotten that treatment. The point was I tipped still, even with that. Food is great, customer service needs improvement. I have been going to Simone's coffee for 15+ years, so I can certainly say, I am a dedicated customer. The service and coffee are always consistent and the drinks and food are always delicious. I especially love their fresh bakery items and have been so happy with their new menu that was developed. It has both breakfast and lunch items on the new menu, but I must say, I absolutely love their breakfast sandwich; it's one of the yummiest I've ever had.
