Betty's Cafe. If you are looking for a classic homespun breakfast or lunch diner-style restaurant ( closes at 2pm everyday, currently) you have found it. You can order breakfast or lunch anytime of the day they are open. The bonus is the service and the quality and preparation of the menu items. I was served the largest and tastiest sausage patty ever! (also note that the ham steaks are gigantic and perfectly cooked). The menu offers all the usual suspects for breakfast, but in addition a few stand out. 'The Outlaw' breakfast platter is a classic. It is a hamburger steak, 2 eggs, fried potatoes, either a biscuit, toast or pancake I would suggest the pancake, as they are perfect). With 'The Outlaw' you have a choice of white or brown gravy (or the off-menu option of mixed). Another star on the menu is the in-house made Cinnamon Rolls. You will need help eating this one for sure. Beautiful icing and the right amount of cinnamon in the flakey pastry. It is huuuge. To be sure the menu has omelettes, breakfast sandwiches, steaks, fresh fruit, biscuits and gravy, breakfast burrito and various sides. If you want lunch, you will be happy too. Pork chops, sirloin steak, chicken fried steak, burgers, BLTs, fish & chips, Navajo tacos, salads and mashed potatoes, fried potatoes or french fries. Home soups and chili are some of the best you can get. All soups are also served with a homemade scone. Great lunches. It is hard to say how much I recommend Betty's Cafe. On our way out of Vernal, Utah, we decided to stop at Betty's Cafe for breakfast. We were looking for a hearty meal to start our day, and Betty's delivered in spades!

The moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and welcoming words from the cafe personnel, making us feel at home. We found ourselves seated next to a local couple, with whom we had an enjoyable and heartwarming conversation. The sense of community was palpable, and it added a personal touch to our experience.

For breakfast, I opted for their All-Meat Omelet accompanied by a comforting glass of tea. The omelet was not only well-prepared but also very flavorful and filling. It was the kind of breakfast that leaves you satisfied and ready to take on the day.

Betty's Cafe is clearly a local favorite, but it extends its warm welcome to visitors like us too. It's places like this that add a little extra joy to the journey, making us feel connected even when we're on the move.

Okay so. I'm not particularly a picky person. But my main concern is about cleanliness when dining out. I only went to Betty's Cafe once. My food was flavorless and overall not very good. Honestly worse Biscuits and Gravy I've ever had. I also read other reviews of people complaining about their Biscuits and Gravy so if you go there DO NOT ORDER THAT. I also found a hair in it, and the salt shakers were gross. But whatever. Just decided to make the best of it. Got done eating and went up to the cash register to pay and it was actually pretty disgusting. The cash register looked like it had never been washed and looked just really gross. Like caked with grime and dust. I notice stuff like this because I used to work in the food industry. Also the soda machine looked like it was never cleaned and just from what I could see from the front counter looked so nasty. Looked like they never took the time to wipe down and clean this stuff. I dont even want to imagine what the back looks like where they cook people's food. Needless to say I won't be going back. The whole experience was really gross. Which is surprising, seeing they have so many good reviews? Maybe people just dont notice these...
