I have never in my life had such a bad experience at a bowling alley before. We were on a work trip in Vernal and were seeing a lot of coworkers a final time as our project is about to end, so bowling was a thank you to them for working so hard. None of us are experienced bowlers, but we understand the basic rules of not bowling at the same time as the lane next to you (which we went over beforehand). There was a league bowling next to us which included the manager of the bowling alley. One of our group members started to bowl with a 6 lb ball because again, none of us are experienced bowlers and we honestly didn't realize they were meant for children. The manager came over in his face, started yelling at him aggressively that he was "too big" to be using that ball and that we'd be kicked out immediately if he didn't stop using it. We explained we meant nothing offensive, but she continued yelling at us as if we were purposely using this ball in a dangerous way. He stopped using it and we continued bowling after being astounded at this woman's sudden aggressive reaction. She then kept a close eye on us and seemed to be glaring at us as we went into our second game. On our next to last frame, one of our group members stood up to get ready to bowl as someone next to us was bowling. The manager immediately came charging over, yelling at our other group member that he is not allowed to be standing up in that area at all while the neighboring team was bowling. We had been very careful not to bowl at the same time as them, but did not realize that standing up there was also against the rules. I have never in my life had a manager raise her voice so loud as this woman and jump to such conclusions and incorrectly state that we were talking about her behind her back, purposely offending her team and just generally being horrible guests. We tried to explain that we were not trying to cause problems on purpose, but she would not have it and lashed back out at everything we tried saying. We felt so uncomfortable and baffled at how she treated us as a manager that when we got to our final frame and the lane broke (for a third time), we did not hesitate to leave.
This is not the way to treat people that were obviously from out of town visiting your bowling alley trying to have a good time and giving you business. I will never step foot...
Read moreWe got to the bowling alley and it was packed, there was a two hour wait time for lanes (but being a new business and as packed as they were it was understandable). We booked our lanes and decided to play billiards while we waited. When they texted us to let us know our lanes were ready we took the billiards equipment back up front were they charged me $45 for playing billiards for less than two hours. I paid, then a friend pointed out the prices for the billiards tables. They charged me for 4 hours of play. We asked about this and they said they'd give me a refund for the extra hours they charged. I had to stand there and wait for another 5-10 minutes waiting for them to finally refund me.
After we get to our lanes and start bowling their machines start breaking down and having problems. They did eventually move us to a different lane and that one seemed to work better.
On a positive note the staff working the snack bar were awesome. They...
Read moreSo much fun! We got a free "preview" slice of pizza, which was delicious, prices are fair, arcade is SO fun!! There aren't a million games, but the good, quality ones are there and that's all you need. There are doubles of quite a few, so it's a great date night option. The employees were so amazing and having tons of fun doing the job, which just adds to it. I really like that they bring the food to your lane. Makes it so much easier and more enjoyable. Great and smart use of space, honestly. It's set up perfectly. Love love that we have a bowling alley in vernal again, and we love everything about it. There is definitely some passion in this, by the owner and employees. Love love love it and we'll keep coming back for more...
