This is my first time writing a review for any place - I feel like it’s necessary. I visited Beni’s on 3/25 with my boyfriend. The food was okay, but it’s the poor quality of service that is causing me to write a review. We walked into the restaurant and there was one other party inside, and then one other couple showed up shortly after us. Our waiter was a young Albanian guy (he mentioned he was Albanian to the other party that showed up after us) and immediately we could tell that for whatever reason he just didn’t want us there, and I have no clue why. The waiter barely talked to us and was not at all pleasant to us, basically all he said when he came up to get our drink order was “you want soda or are you good with water” not “what can I get you to drink” or asking if we wanted anything from the bar, I just found it strange. He was just very short with us and again it felt like he just wanted us out of his hair. On the other hand, when the couple came in after us, he stood at their table for a lengthy amount of time chatting with them about themselves and explaining things on the menu to them, asking them where they were from, telling them about himself, etc.; he offered to bring them bread immediately as well, which we were never offered. No one ever came to ask how our food was or refill our drinks, and the waiter dropped off our check and then asked as an afterthought if we wanted desert (but it was clear he just wanted us to pay and leave). I honestly can say this is the first time ever that I wanted to not leave a tip at a restaurant, but I still did. My boyfriend and I are paying customers but were treated like criminals for whatever reason and we were both shocked, honestly the service was so bad it was almost comical. You would think that with the restaurant being so empty maybe you would get paid attention to, but that was not the case here. I doubt I’ll ever return to this restaurant. Maybe the other wait staff is good but I don’t even want to take that chance. It is a nice looking restaurant so I am...
Read moreI was not happy with my visit. I had hopes but Beni's said nopes. We had a party of five, they had indoor seating today and they didn't seem too busy. I want to believe that the service was bad and maybe my experience was bad because of the whole COVID thing going on, I don't really know. We ordered drinks, which took forever. And they took forever again to get water for half our party (there were five of us). Then we ordered, appetizers took maybe 45 minutes to arrive, then maybe another 30 minutes for our entrees, well, half our entrees, because our waitress came and told us that there was an error with two of our meals and they had just gotten started, so they asked if we wanted anything for the wait, so we ordered fries, those actually came quickly. I ordered a chicken Francese with angel hair pasta, and it showed up with penne, at this point I had waited so long that I was just too tired to correct the mistake and just wanted food. So I kept it, i honestly didn't feel like waiting another hour for them to make some angel hair pasta, then I wanted salt but the waitress was nowhere to be found, so eventually when she showed up, we asked for boxes and took our food home. The buffalo wings were very good, but the chicken Francese I just can't eat. I'm so sad. I'll probably have it for lunch tomorrow once I'm done moping, but I probably won't be back to this restaurant any time soon, the service was awful. Maybe some day, just...not...
Read moreWow! What a great end to a hard day! At Beni's. I usually go to it's sister restaurant, Hilltop Restaurant & Bar in Willington. I knew this fine place existed, but this was my first visit, as I saw it by accident driving home one Sunday eve. GREAT visible location. BENI establishments have a certain character. They"'ll remember your name. Caring in hiring experienced staff.
The best thing...you will always feel safe. And easy to strike up a chat with others if you are alone. Owners very often on-site to make sure things are to their high standards, and to know you personally by name. A great place to stop for lunch or dinner.
Daily soup & appetizer, dinner, dessert specials plus huge menu.
If you are on a doctor ordered diet, the chef will eagerly accommodate your needs.
Also known for amazing Landscapes and outdoor FLOWERS!
