Dolce Marie — Restaurant in Verona

I’ve been eying this place on Instagram and couldn’t wait to try it! I walked in with my infant daughter and the staff was busy waiting on people who were eating breakfast in the shop. The owner immediately apologized for the wait and said they were understaffed. I couldn’t decide on what to order, either the banana bread or blueberry scone but I got the banana bread & an iced coffee. I had mentioned I was an avid follower on IG and the owner was so sweet and so so gracious to offer me the scone to try too! That was so incredibly thoughtful. Both pastries were out of this world!! So soft and moist and so much flavor!! My iced coffee was even delicious too! I came to Dolce Marie for the coffee and stayed for the pastries. I come back regularly for both! Easily the best cup of coffee on all of Bloomfield ave; I take a red-eye. But what really makes this place special is Marie’s pastries: Biscottis, scones, crumb cakes, ricotta cookies, and always a special or two. The cream puff is better than your Nonna’s.

I’ve had the frittata and the bacon, egg & cheese for breakfast. Both were very good and now I have a hard time choosing between the two.

AMAZING spot. Cutest decor. Felt like I walked right into a European cafe. I stopped in after getting a disappointing cup of coffee somewhere else and was absolutely blown away by the service, atmosphere, and quality of the coffee and pastries I got. The owner heard it was my first time stopping in, and she took the time to welcome me and walk me through all the different products they offer.
