Read moreWhen we first walked into the Amsden Station there were no staff to be found. It appeared there was a family that had also been waiting a while as they were sitting by the hostess stand. One server and or hostess did walk out with her iced coffee and did not say anything and turned around and went into the kitchen. The bartender then came over to us and greeted us. He was very nice and welcoming. The rest of the staff that we did encounter were a bit dull and did not seem interested in providing much hospitality.
Now for the food, we had the spinach and artichoke dip which was decent I would probably rate it a 7/10. We additionally tried the bacon and onion pizza and the bolognese. I would rate the bacon and onion pizza a 2/10 I expected it to be more flavorful as it had several ingredients that should pack a flavorful profile. Moving on to the bolognese, I would rate the bolognese a 5/10. It was a decent dish but lacked seasoning and the pasta was overcooked, typically I would prefer pasta al dente however this might be more of a personal preference for some.
Drinks were good however we did not get anything special, prices were what you would typically find in my opinion. The bartender as I stated earlier was very inviting and lively which the place needed…
As for the building, decor, ect….very beautiful and classy with a little twist.
I think that Amsden station has a lot of potential there may just need to be some kinks that need to...
Read moreFirst Amazing dinner at Amsden Station! My wife and I were fans of Vallozzi’s, though we did think it needed an update. And what update Amsden Station is! Wonderful atmosphere — cozy, warm, and gathering friendly, especially the new pub section. The two of us came hungry and enjoyed Crab Beignets, Bavarian Pretzels, The Amsden Caesar, Bluegrass Bolognese, Filet Mignon, and washed it all down with Manhattan cocktails and red wine. All were delicious with top quality ingredients in inspired combinations. Our waitress was simultaneously attentive and unobtrusive. We had a great time, highly recommend the place, and look forward to stopping in next week for a sampling of the other items on their menu. Thank You, Amsden...
