A Sweet Experience at Pink Sugar Bakery

I recently sent my dad to Pink Sugar Bakery after seeing their Facebook post announcing they were open and the case was full. I’ve been eager to try their treats since they first opened, but I always seemed to miss out before they sold out.

This time, we managed to grab an assortment of goodies: turtle cookies, chocolate chip cookies, strawberry crunch cupcakes, cookies and cream cupcakes, brownie bites, and strawberry cheesecake. Unfortunately, the red velvet brownies were already sold out—I’ll have to catch them next time! 😩

I started with the turtle cookie, and wow—just wow! It’s hands down the best cookie I’ve ever tasted. The flavor combination is out of this world and has instantly become my new favorite. The chocolate chip cookies were also excellent, but there’s something special about those turtle cookies that will keep me coming back for more.

The cookies and cream cupcake and strawberry crunch cupcake were both delightful as well. The frosting was light, not too sweet, and perfectly balanced. These cupcakes hit all the right notes. We haven’t tried the rest of our goodies yet, but based on what we’ve had so far, I’m confident they won’t disappoint.

Pink Sugar Bakery is exactly what the city needed, and I can’t wait to visit again—hopefully in time to try those elusive red velvet...

I had heard a lot about Pink Sugar so when I was in downtown Vicksburg a few weeks ago I stopped in. It was about 2 in the afternoon, and they were sold out of a ton of stuff which I was warned about prior to going in by a friend that works down the street. If you don't get there before 12, you most likely won't have a lot of options, but that just means the desert is amazing. And it was!! I purchased a banana pudding for my brother and I and it was $10 for a little tub of it. It didn't have fresh bananas in it, which was my only complaint. Other than that it was ABSOLUTELY DELISH. Pink Sugar Bakery on Washington Street just off South Street between BML Boutique and Cocktails 101 is my favorite sweet shop in town!!!
