I'm conflicted and that is partially on me for having high expectations considering the local restaurants in this area and the location itself. This should have been a great dining experience but I left feeling disappointed. Our food arrived before our char grilled oysters when I had asked to start with the oysters. The oysters were small with not a lot of flavor. We ordered the Washington Pasta and the Hamburger Steak. Both had good flavor but the pasta was missing the crawfish as others have stated and the portions were on the small side for the price point. The atmosphere was conflicting. The building itself is beautiful and nostalgic but the servers were walking around casually and sitting in plain view on the counters while a cook came out and went behind the bar several times while there were no patrons sitting in that area. If you're going for casual dining, great but charge casual dining prices. If you're competing with other restaurants in the area and charging fine dining prices, your staff should reflect that. $75 for the food was too much for our experience here, plus the $25 worth of drinks and a $20 tip, definitely made this over priced. The Biscuit has all the elements needed to be a great restaurant, in a great location, and should be packed on a Saturday night but it wasn't. Hopefully these things will be considered and adjustments...
Read moreI gave a 2 star for all else but the service. You should kill all the FLIES in the customer seating areas before opening to serve customers. My husband and I both agreed the coleslaw was very dry. Too many seasoned french fries too much seasoning on the plate. The oysters I thought were really GOOD. Management can't do anything about what OTHER PATROnS are doing but a table sitting not far from us had his FOOtBALL GAME going on his phone. Put some EARbUDS on if you can't leave your FOOTBALL game at home! That was so INCONSIDerAte and egotistical of that patron to do that!! Don't disturb other tables PEACE!! Other than that. I would recommend this restaurant for some GOOD OYSTErs! All the staff was polite and Attentive! Thank you for serving more than fried chicken!!! We will come back! Work on your biscuits. Hire someone to make them homemade! Thank you. Please work on that TEA southern tea doesn't have to taste...
Read moreWe had high hopes, but the service was awful and the food wasnt great. The lady sat us down, took our order, then disappeared. Rather than putting my husbands food down, she gave it to me right after giving me my food. I wasn't looking and she almost dropped it on me. There was plenty of room for her to sit it down on the 4 person table we were sitting at. Speaking of his food, he got one small waffle that looked and tasted like the thin waffle house ones and 2 chicken strips for 22 dollars. My grilled chicken was like rubber. We never once got refills on our drinks. When it came time to pay, the waitress took my card, I never got a ticket and had no idea how much she was charging me. I had to check the bank after. Biscuits were great though and the dinning...
