First time here, AND the LAST!! Bad experience start to finish. My daughter with special needs and I walked in around 12:30pm on a Saturday. We approached the woman at the counter and a young girl (around 9) who was standing next to the woman. The young girl stared wide eyed and open mouthed at my daughter. Really? If your going to come to work with your mom(or whomever), learn to have some manners. We were told a 10 minute wait. No problem. The limited seats inside the door were full so we sat outside on the benches. Others were waiting out there as well. After 20 minutes, I went in and asked about our table. She said" I called you". I said to her, "did you open the door and call our name?. She said "no". Well if you have guests waiting outside, you'd think you would check there. First mistake. She did seat us in the bar area. We were given menus. Waited 10 minutes before our waitress, Rosa approached us. She said "sorry for the wait". She asked if we wanted appetizers but I said we would just like to order. Our drinks came right away, at least. Our meal took another 15 minutes. Not once did Rosa check on us. After our meals arrived we never saw Rosa again. Not to see if we needed refills, not to check on our order or to see if we wanted anything else. Thank goodness for the self pay machine at the table. I paid for the meal, got up and grabbed a to go box for my daughter's leftovers and left. Unbelievable horrible service!!! Too bad for the horrible service because the food was good. Absolutely will...
Read moreThough not every place in one city will be great, I'm amazed at how many restaurants are so very good in Victoria, and that includes this Chili's! My food is always hot, very delicious, and everything comes in a reasonable to quick time frame. So far, all the servers I've had have been pretty nice; I've been to this location 5 times.
My favorite dish is their Cajun Pasta, I get grilled chicken instead of shrimp but the spices are SPOT ON and there is PLENTY of sauce. Their Awesome Onion Blossom Petals are very delicious, and their house sauce to go with them will give you a love/hate feeling, with it's weird off-putting bitterness though still addicting enough to eat with the petals. The decor is nice, plenty of TVs and the Strawberry Lemonade is great. Hot water to wash your hands in the bathroom.
On the flip side, the only minor thing would be that they seem to always be recruiting new staff, so sometimes service will be a taaaad slower if you get a new worker. But nothing to fuss about. Oh and OF COURSE they are super busy on Fridays and weekends so when they tell you it's gonna be bout half an hour wait time, it's not their fault, don't complain, and either have some patience or try some of the surrounding restaurants. The nearby Olive Garden and Golden Corral are both awesome too. But I DO recommend this...
Read moreI'm only willing to give this Chili's a 2 star review instead of a 1 because of the GM. When my husband and I arrived we stood and waited for a good while before anyone greeted us or sat us. The front counter was a mess and the host was MIA. We only saw one staff member at the bar working on the bar's customers orders. Finally when the host made his way back he dissapeared again to (I'm hoping) find us a table. When he went to take us to our table he walked around aimlessly and I finally asked as he paused at one table if this was our seat. His response was "oh, uh, yeah." Sat our menus down and left. The waitress was not much better. She brought us drinks, took our order, delivered our order, and then was MIA until we were finished. The ONLY person who actually checked on us was the GM and that was only once, but of course hes not our waiter so he shouldn't have to. The wings tasted like a rewarmed order and of course when our glasses became empty they were not refilled. Although the MIA host was seen multiple times walking around with empty glasses. Although we never saw our waitress it was clear that other waiters were having a great time chit chatting. I only saw one waitress actually clear away tables and wipe it down which was nice to see one person willing to...
