Ramsey's Victoria — Restaurant in Victoria

I would not recommend this Restaurant to anyone. The Manager/ Owner was very unprofessional to his employee. The waitress was trying to pour a draft beer for a customer. Instead of properly showing the correct way, he just yelled at her and belittle her. We order our food, what was on the items of Special for the day. One of them they did not have. He yells at the waitress, in front of us telling her they did not have the burrito dish, and just to give him tacos, they were out for weeks. He did not care we were there and hearing him be rude about the order. The young lady was so embarrassed, and blushing. I stood up and told him, what was his problem being so hateful and rude. He told me it was not none of my business. Which I told him it was since it was our food order he was yelling and being rude about. I told him he was very rude and there was no need for him embarrassing the waitress. We left and paid for our drinks, that we didn't even drink. I did not want any problems. The only people I did see there were the elderly which, they probably don't have much of a choice of restaurants to go too. What a relaxing place! I felt like I walked into my grandmas house and was instantly brought back to my childhood. You could smell the homecooked food and the salad bar made my heart so happy! Our server, Denny was full of silly and kindness as he walked around the room teasing and making jokes with all guest. The place was quiet and calm except for the laughing ever so often which made us smile. The food arrived beautifully displayed, the fried catfish, shrimp and hushpuppies cooked just as my grandpa use to and not to forget the beautiful baked potato staring back at me. Rolls buttery hot and the tea just as it should be! If breakfast is what you like well the menu was large and looked to be a place I must revisit one morning when I’m back in town! One last thing, my heart smiled as we paid our bill at the front counter and there sat two high chairs, cleaned up with a bib, napkin and saltine crackers plastic wrapped on top of the tray to keep it all safe and clean! I had an incredibly disappointing experience at Ramsey’s in Victoria due to the rude and unprofessional behavior of a staff member named Shannon. From the moment we arrived, her attitude was dismissive and unfriendly, making us feel unwelcome. She was impatient, spoke to us with an unacceptable level of rudeness, and seemed completely uninterested in providing even the most basic level of customer service.

Not only was she unhelpful, but her disrespectful manner ruined the entire dining experience. Instead of addressing simple requests politely, she responded with eye rolls and sarcasm, making it clear that she had no regard for customer satisfaction. It was uncomfortable and frustrating to deal with such an unprofessional attitude.

A restaurant’s atmosphere is just as important as its food, and unfortunately, Shannon’s behavior completely overshadowed everything else. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless the management takes serious action to ensure their staff treats customers with the respect...
