Aug 24 update: This time we ordered the 4x BBQ set meal for the better value. It came with rice and a tofu soup. We also ordered a seafood pancake on top. The four BBQ on sizzler- The calbae (ribs) was the best, magical marinade and very good texture. That's impossible to replicate with any store bought stuff. Firmly recommended. Next is the spicy pork, better than those in Koreatown. Then it's bulgongi (beef strips), good seasoning and texture. Finally the chicken, above average to good, only because it's in comparison to the great beef. The tofu soup with clams was very good to excellent. It's the reason I keep returning. We requested medium spicy, which was a little on the mild side but just right for me. Heat enthusiasts should go full tilt. The seafood pancake completely rocks. It's got eggs in the batter and golden brown on both sides. I'd recommend it to replace any pizza takeout. Overall it's good value, $100 for four dinner that we couldn't finish. Firmly recommended. They played "happy birthday" on their karaoke rig when they learned we were a birthday party. Yikes!
May 23: Everything made to order. Service friendly. Bibimbap was very good. The rice in stone bowl was sizzling when it arrived and at the bottom was a layer of crispy rice. Something I value highly- pale blonde has not much flavor going on, black is not good on all levels, only golden brown crust will do and my guy hits that narrow window. The tofu bowls and grilled fish were good to very good. Overall highly recommended. They also have a grocery section that's worth checking out. Those dried fish in chilli oil looks inviting. I'm thinking exotic...
Read moreWow. What an awesome experience. I came in to this place with an open heart, and a hungry stomach, hoping for something authentic and delicious. This place did not disappoint on any level. Very hospitable staff, willing to talk about the culture and the food. They also had a small market in the front that offered various Korean food specialties. But nothing fancy. I ordered a small tofu and seafood soup that was perfectly spicy. The server cracked an egg into the boiling broth in front of me. How cool is that? I also had the BBQ spare ribs and they were solid tasting, and had plenty of meat. They also gave me some type of potato pancake and various sauces and vegetables. To drink, they offer bottled beers and water. Also had soda pop in the can in a cooler for sale. If you are looking for something different, and like supporting small family business, this place is a must on your list of "gotta try it" places to dine in the high desert. Very authentic and delicious. They are located in The El Super parking lot, tucked away in the corner here on Bear Valley Rd. in Victorville. Be ready to have your taste buds tantilized, and your need for authenticity satisfied. ...
Read moreTook our family of 7 to this place and the food was amazing!! There was just one server and it looked like just 2 cooks, maybe the husband and wife in the kitchen. There were 3 other parties and she was still catering to everyone. Now what I was a little disappointed in was, the portions were really tiny. And very expensive for wanting Korean bbq. We ordered the family pack A but the meat dish came out with more veggies than meat and then we ordered another rib plate which we were told would be bigger…but it wasn’t 😬 and it was $28.99. I have 3 teenagers and a 3 and 2 year old who left that place still a little hungry😳. Our bill was $158 and change. So if you’re a big family who can eat and want a taste of bbq, you might reconsider going to Seoul Korean all you can eat if you’re going to spend some money anyways, but atleast it’ll hit the spot and...
