The owner of this cafe cares about everyone thinking they are a cool and progressive cafe with possitive ties to the community. He cares about this way more than he actually cares about his employees. Feel free to send Fairfax fire department a FOIA request to view the report where the building got smoked out from a fire and he forced his employees to return inside right after. He didn't perform air quality or safety testing as is osha required. Also feel free to FOIA request their health inspection reports, interesting finds in there as well. No business that treats it's employees like that has the right to say they care about their customers or their community. His hostility towards me while I was trying to address and correct his behavior is a clear indication of his true character. Disappointing for a place advertising itself as a 'community coffee shop'
Coffee was okay and staff was friendly. Be nice to the staff because they already go though enough just by working there.
Edit: business owner said my claims were false without refuting any points I made. He is correct in saying they can be verified though, which I did when I got all the reports because they are public data upon request. The "neighboring space" that caught fire was underneath them. The fire report mentions heavy smoke in the cafe itself and fire response entered the cafe during remediation while determining the best point of entry. The health inspector was called in after after but that's not the only safety requirement to be met after a fire as I confirmed with osha in the ongoing investigation. And clearing a building for re-entry is not the same as clearing it for re-habitation. The owner instead of demonstrating concern for this incident thinks the only way anyone could care is if they are after personal gain. I stand to gain nothing from holding him accountable and it is time and effort on my end put in to stop poor treatment of employees. I tried contacting them via 3 seperate methods and he was never anything other than defensive and hostile towards my inquiries which I made only to determine if the proper minimum steps were taken as required by law. You'd hope better from someone than having employees work in a smoked out building just because it's legal (assuming it passed the required remediation steps which I did not find evidence of yet but am still working on). But hey, he said he paid them right? Doesn't sound like a safety first attitude to me, and very dangerous especially if an employee...
Read moreIf you know Vienna, Virginia, you’ve likely heard the name Caffe Amouri tossed around like a local legend — and for good reason. This isn't just a coffee shop. It's a community epicenter, a caffeine temple, and an ever-evolving classroom for all things coffee. Whether you're a shot-of-espresso minimalist or a honey-cinnamon-latte enthusiast, this place delivers. Not just in flavor — but in feeling. Everything here is intentional — from the ethically sourced beans roasted in-house to the baristas trained like artisans. The menu is built for exploration: pumpkin pie lattes in the summer? Yes. Custom honey-cinnamon creations with bear-shaped latte art? Definitely. “I got a pumpkin pie latte… in the summer. It was wonderful!” “The barista made the cutest bear latte art — and the flavor was on point.” “Over a decade of coffee shops coming and going — this one still ranks highest.” This is a café that doesn’t chase trends. It sets its own rhythm — and Vienna follows.
Step in during an open mic night and the vibe transforms: spoken word, indie guitarists, poets — it’s a caffeine-fueled performance space where art meets espresso. Or enroll in one of their coffee roasting classes, where you’ll learn that crema and crackling beans are part of a love language. “We came for a roasting class… ended up staying for open mic night!” “Album covers on the wall, comfy seating, and a crowd that feels like regulars.”
Sip. Snack. Stay Awhile. Caffe Amouri isn’t designed for a quick grab-and-go (though it can be). It invites you to settle in — laptop or not — and let the ambiance work its magic. “Spacious, comfy, and full of locals.” “Hand-shaken iced tea and brownies? Don’t sleep on them.” “Even after all these years, their iced americano is still unbeatable.” Just don’t show up too late for pastries — the good stuff disappears fast.
From Roasts to Rolls — Keep the Vibe Going Once you’ve had your perfect latte and a moment of clarity at Caffe Amouri, keep the experience flowing with a visit to PullUpDC. Pair the espresso high with curated cannabis strains that help you wind down, think deeply, or amplify your creative buzz. Caffe Amouri is more than coffee — it’s ritual, rhythm, and real community. From handcrafted drinks to cultural connection, this spot earns its reputation as Vienna’s true original. Refuel here. Then ride the chill...
Read moreGood Lord, I think I found my favorite ever coffee shop in all the world. 🤯
The vibes. The beverages. The cocoa and shots. The food. The staff. All on point if you’re looking for the definition of a local roaster that serves fantastic coffee and vittles at affordable/non-bougie price points.
You can tell a lot about a place by who frequents there. In the few hours my wife and I were here it seemed like everyone of every background and age came through. Seems like everyone likes Caffe Amouri!
How was what we drank and ate?
• The dark Belgian hot chocolate (with whole milk) made to order with melted down discs of chocolate was the best I’ve had and so filling I was left feeling like I just ate brunch. • A fresh, moist (pardon if you have offense with the word) lemon ricotta muffin from a nearby bakery and recommended by Fedya at the p(oint)o(f)s(ervice) was TREMENDOUS. I don’t even like lemon-y pastries but I wanted to order the rest of their inventory to-go. • Their shots and steamed milk for the pumpkin pie latte were perfect. Props to the barista with the great cut crafting the drink! (see photo with the feather foam) • And breakfast sandwiches? De. Li. Cious. I’m not a vegetarian but I wouldn’t be missing anything with the sun dried tomato and egg option on English muffin.
All that plus the music and decor were so memorable! Can’t wait to buy a bag of beans as well!
Mr. Amouri and staff have an incredible place going and I hope they get all the business in the world so this place is here for all the years to come. It’s the kind of spot I wish I could be a regular at (it’s too far to come often!) so my family could come for years and could bring our eventual kids to so they could grow up coming here and enjoying what a coffee shop could and should be—a place anyone can have a tasty slice of peace and calming comfort of home.
Thanks for existing,...
