Just discovered Trace after moving to the area and I already know I’ll be there regularly. I brought in and filled 12 different containers with pantry staples and everyone working there was so helpful and patient with me. They answered all my questions and walked me through how the tags work as it was my first time there. The prices are excellent, I even compared them afterwards to what I would have spent at a grocery store to bring home a bunch of plastic packaging, and there’s no competition. I had the pleasure of chatting with the owner about the store and about zero waste in general, and she was so lovely. I recently did a purge of old spices and took the bottles into the store to purchase fresh ones, for a FRACTION of what it would have cost in the grocery store. Plus you can buy what you need, since some spices you don’t go through very quickly. Their balsamic vinegar is awesome too!
They also have great washable scrubbers for your dishes and great plastic saving storage items- I love the silicon caps to put on the open end of blocks of cheese. Genius! Good cleaning and other supplies as well. I always leave inspired to take extra steps to cut waste.
Shout out for their onsite knife sharpening as well- reasonable prices to have your knives refreshed while you shop! It’s another vendor check the dates when...
