Portillo's Villa Park — Restaurant in Villa Park

We ordered in the drive-thru and the woman taking order and payment was great. We had orderd 3 large shakes and hot dogs, burgers and fries. We get up to the window and the young lady there acted quite bothered by the fact that she had to help us. She asked if a cup holder was needed and before we could answer she was shutting the drive-thru window. We said yes and appeared she hear us because out comes our shakes. Again the door is closing before we could grab the shakes and we practically had to reach inside to grab them. They almost ended up on the ground. Same thing happened with our food. The bag wasn't even handed off by the handle but rather she grabbed it in her fist to hand it off. We went to grab it and this time she shut the window on the bag and good thing I was able to catch it because that too almost ended on the ground. We yelled, whoa wait when the door was shutting and she just gave a dirty look, turned around and walked away. I was very disappointed with service. Food was ok, everything was burnt and over cooked (hot dogs, fries, burger, and polish). I dont think I'll be going back...

I hadn’t realized when I was waiting in the parking lot at 10:00, they were open early during the holidays so noneltheleas I went in to pick up the munchies.I was greeted by about a half dozen people cheering merry holidays to me and of course I couldn’t wait to order my goods. I asked for service needed to complete a carryout order that I could hike down to see my dad in Kentucky so I needed something fairly right away and something that could be toted that far. They offered a beef kit and asked me if I wanted bread to go along with that. Luckily my dad has a nice tasting bread so I declined the bread, but I gotta tell you, it was like catering my own party. So I made sure we had both hot and sweet peppers. I paid much more than both my dad and myself needed, but the food was great. They sold me a generous Marconi jar of giardinaire peppers and then I bolted out and wished them happy new year aling the way. They got me out fast and had everything packaged in less than the time it takes to wait for a sandwich. Go...

Been going here for about 25 years. But today 8/12/25 at 2pm. I got the WORST SERVICE. In drive through only. 3 cars took 20 minutes. Had to tell order 4 times at the speaker, got to pay and had to repeat the order. Waited about 5 minutes. At the 2nd. Window. And was asked again what the order was. She came to the window and said 5 more minutes. WENT IN TO GET MY MONEY BACK. Had to wait for the manager???. He didn't care Finally got my money. Just keep in mind that it was EMPTY IN SIDE. AND no one in the drive through. Went to your companion and got my , beef , large fry. Diet coke. WAS IS SO HARD ABOUT THIS ORDER.!!!. WON'T BE BACK.!!! . I WOULD FIRE EVERYONE THERE AT THAT TIME!!!!@ 8/13/25 did go to you website. Seen THE B.S. RESPONSE.!!!! IF YOU DONT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEN WHEN YOU HAVE TO CLOSE DOWN , THAT ORIGINAL SHOP... Then the neighborhood won't care either.!!!!. Good luck...
