2/24/25 update:

🔥 The Bayou ‘N Bourbon menu is BACK at @MarlowsTavern, and y’all KNOW I had to check it out! Being from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, I’m always on the hunt for flavors that remind me of home, and Marlow’s did NOT disappoint. Now through March 11th, they’re serving up bold Louisiana flavors with that Marlow’s twist I love. 😍✨ What do they say in New Orleans that means "let the good times roll"? #LaissezLesBonsTempsRouler ! 🎭✨:

Here’s what I tried (and what you NEED to order):

🍽️ Mo’ Betta Specials:

Roasted Chicken & Shrimp Gumbo – A Louisiana classic with a Marlow’s twist

Flatbread from the Bayou – Made with their secret sauce & the best Bayou flavors

Bayou Crab Cake – Spiced, fried, and topped with Creole remoulade & sweet corn relish

Shrimp & Crawfish Po’Boy – Perfectly battered seafood, smoked chili cream & Tavern fries

Creole Patty Melt – Andouille sausage, Swiss, caramelized onions, Creole remoulade & fries

Deconstructed Jambalaya – Dirty rice, grilled chicken, crawfish Creole sauce

🍹 Mo’ Betta Drinks: Hurricane 🍹 Smoked Sazerac 🥃 French 75 ✨

🍯 Bourbon Street Sweet: Honey Bourbon Bread Pudding

🌊 BONUS: If you love oysters, don’t miss Oysterfest on the Green at Marlow’s Tavern Dunwoody on March 1st! 🦪🎶 Unlimited oysters, live music, and this Bayou menu? Count me in.

—— 🍴 The new seasonal menu at Marlow's Tavern is here, and it’s packed with bold, fresh flavors that will elevate your dining experience!

Kick things off with the vibrant Beet Tartare, served with crispy house-made wheat thins, or indulge in the crispy, savory Carnitas Duck Spring Rolls filled with duck confit, queso fresco, black bean and corn salsa, and more. For a satisfying wrap, don’t miss the Banh Mi Chicken Wrap, loaded with crispy chicken, pickled veggies, and sweet and spicy Vietnamese chili sauce. Looking for something hearty? The Brisket Grilled Cheese with smoked brisket and horseradish aioli, or the comforting Vegetable Lasagna packed with roasted sweet potato, spinach, and creamy ricotta will hit the spot. Craving seafood? The Miso Black Cod paired with shrimp fried rice and kung pao green beans is a must-try!

And to top it all off, enjoy the New York-Style Pumpkin Cheesecake with bourbon caramel and pecan crumble—a decadent finish to your meal.

🍹 Wash it all down with handcrafted cocktails like the refreshing Gin Job, the bold Ancho Pineapple Margarita, the classic Tokyo Boulevardier, the smooth Luxardo Manhattan, the tangy Pomegranate Spice Mojito, or the crisp and refreshing The Vesper.

Update 6/4/24: I really want to love and 5 star this place but they simply do not care about being sanitary. Today I witnessed a bartender touching phones not cleaning their hands and then touching the inside of a to go box. Taking credit cards going through that process then making drinks grabbing straws with no covers with bare hands. Just nasty then people wonder where they got their bug from. At least if you're not going to have straws with covers grab it with a napkin. But it was sitting in front of a woman coughing so we are all doomed. May have to step back from this place. What is good? The Tavern burger. Customer service is dry on most days bust consistently ok to good. Eddie is very good but had to warm up to me.

Pam Burke Local Guide·232 reviews·114 photos Dine in | Lunch | $20–30 Update: 2/28: Today they lost a star. If customer service was off I would have done nothing. But I witnessed their handling of food and it was not sanitary. The manager was coordinating orders and had these ridiculous long nails rubbing her hands on her pants after rubbing the back of a staff member and then handling plates. She touched everything but water and soap. I saw her touch an iPad and then touch plates I even saw her pick up and use a broom and dust pan and go back to touching plates. I saw a girl that looked new wipe her nose with her hands twice and go touch plates. Has covid vanished. I said something to the team and to the manager who said I'll give you your money back. This was a to-go order. That manager needs conditioning and retraining. Li think she did clean her hands but did not make the girl with braids that wiped her nose wash hers. I will not be back for dinner service... it was terrible the burger and wings were cold and the wings dry, over cooked and the offered half Buffalo and half lemon pepper and combined them both. Why offer it then? And I have ordered to go before for lunch. Lunch is much better. Dinner server seemed like they were over whelmed. Several customers had issue while I was there. Check the cameras for that day. If they weren't so consistent at lunch it would have been 3 stars. Previous review: Marlow's has stepped up their game. Flame broiled burger is phenomenal. New Jack Daniel's menu awesome. Service is consistently good now. Been here 15 years and now I'm really...

Well, it was our first time there. I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant. We sat out on the patio and ordered a beer and a cocktail recommend by the waitress, shrimp and crab nachos and fire shrimps OMG the food was awesome. The recommended drink was not what I expected so I got it remade with Cuervo Tequila and when I received it right off the back I noted something black in the glass. Well, the bartender had made a previous drink with black berries. I asked do this drink comes with black berries.....the waitress says "no" and I said this need to be remade. She take the drink and within four minutes the bartender come out with the drink and very rudely and slam the drink on the table says "this is the last one we are making for you!!" I was shocked of how she came to the table. So, I asked for a bar manager which was not working. Ok, I asked for a just any manger. A manager comes out and says "we don't make the drink you asked for" and I said "your waitress recommend it and shouldn't recommend anything you don't make". She want on to say "well if you don't like this drink I'll personal make one for you and I'll come back". Of course I said ok....I didn't touch the last drink bartender made. The manager did come back to check on me and I said the drink is still there and I really didn't want anything else to be made. She come out with cards for free appetizers and a drink. The manager tried to make it better and the bartender come back out with a two shots and apologized that she was just coming in....which was not the best thing to say to me. Because you rudely just slammed my drink and said "this is the last drink we are making for you". The manager kindly provided me with a free box the best "fire shrimps" which are the best I've ever. Before we left we asked for our bill and the manger had taken care of this (complimentary). We were not expecting that. Thank you!!! I appreciate the apologize from the bartender. On a good note, please visit this restaurant and try the fire shrimps and the shrimp and crab nachos. You...

The food tasted great. I had a burger and fries. I asked for my fries to be parmesan truffled instead of regular. I ate majority of my fries and towards the end I noticed a tiny little hair attached to one of the fries. My hair is 26 inches, I know this bc I bought my wig offline. This hair is not the type to shed and if it does it isn’t small tiny baby pieces of hair. The hair found in my food resembles mustache or beard hair. Anyways, our server spoke with his server and then told us the truffle fries would be taken off. However AFTER we paid, when we received the bill we noticed the full meal price was on the ticket. We asked for the server to bring the manager over and he was short and insincere. He said explained that he was busy and only took the up charge off the fries and not the fries itself resulting in the original price of a burger and regular fries being on the ticket. This is not necessarily a discount bc we still ended up paying the price on the menu, the manger was rude, and there was still hair in my food. He didn’t care at all really but in the end he did end up taking both the fries and my burger off the ticket. I could have raised hell considering there was hair in my food but I kept my cool. I would have been more pleased if he had this consideration from the beginning and if there was never hair in my food from the start. Smh .

Interesting place that we have enjoyed several times since moving to Georgia. It has a neighborhood vibe and a very different feeling depending on whether you sit in the open bar area, the darker booth area (BTW, it could use a little more overhead light or a table light), or the outside covered patio. They are often busy, but we have experienced good service on each visit. On our recent visit, our selections included: - Parmesan Crab Dip. Not fantastic, but a solid choice for an appetizer. - Bistro steak. Pretty good. - Trigger Fish. Big surprise! The scallion crusted fish with basmati fried rice, Kung Pao beans, and a Thai sweet chili sauce was an amazing unexpected Asian dish for a tavern menu. - Steak Salad. Another solid choice. - Margarita. Standard quality, not impressive. It tasted like it was made with a bottled mix. - Ginless & Tonic. Surprisingly good for a non-alcoholic cocktail. It was my first switch to the “Mocktail” world to avoid alcohol and I enjoyed this one.
