Macado's — Restaurant in Vinton

Yesterday I had the honor of hosting a prayer board lunch with some friends from church . We made ohr prayer boards and we’re gonna get lunch after . I arrived around 3:02 our table (room that was reserved ) was still not ready . It has the previous party’s stuff and hadn’t been busboyed down . I come in and sat my stuff walk up to the host and advised we had a rsvp at 3 in that room she said someone would be right w us . Around 3:30 the hostest came herself to clean it up since no one had came yet . We did our boards had an amazing time allowed others to Come in and us the arcade machines . Around 5 a lady is in the lobby complaining about us being there the manager Micheal walks in and says hey I don’t know if u know but do u know how the room works and he proceeds to tell us that we get it for two hours so we have it til 5:30 . I said that’s fine sorry you didn’t have the room ready . But we are almost done we were done w the boards and we’re just going to order food . She walks in and says well do u mind if we decorate . I didn’t think it was a big deal to have a few people come in and decorate since we were finishing up I said it was fine so her and her whole party come in sit there stuff on the tables and I said well hold on we still have food on the way . She said well aren’t you suppose to be out . I said no don’t you hear the manager said we could stay til 5:30 we weren’t late for our reservation they were late in getting it ready for us . She walks out goes to the kitchen with manager Micheal and tells him we don’t even have food or are ordering why can’t we just be kicked out . He comes up to Me and says u can’t be in the kitchen so I’m assuming the girl worked there . I said ok we’ll do u plan on coming to do your job all of her people are in the room he said yes and never comes . I come back to the kitchen open the door for the second time after I tell the party to get out politely I was allowing them to decorate but being rushed out isn’t cool . The manager says miss don’t u see all the managers here I said yes I see you discussing and taking care of ur employees while in left to handle the actual situation he never came apologized never came addressed anything only came to drop off the owners number because he said no one else would take my complaint and obviously it wasn’t a concern or he didn’t. Are si ce he never ever came back . Our server I believe Anthony came and apologized he was amazing the whole time and I was impressed that he wasn’t the manager but still had the audacity to apologize on behalf of the restaurant or the mixup even though it wasn’t actually his issue we still tipped him and made sure he was aware that he was amazing during our stay. I’ve called the number twice for the owner. It rings with no voice. So I thought I would bring it here so that you...

This place has really gone downhill. On normal visits, the service is usually pretty slow and they do tend to mess up my order. Occasionally forgetting a salad or giving me the wrong menu items which is normally not a problem to me. Today we sat down at 6:15 pm and our waitress took our drink orders, we didn’t get our beverages until about 6:30. Then we ordered and continued to wait until around 8 pm for our food, when the table next to us (that sat down about thirty minutes after us) got our food and left by the time we got ours. When we were ordering, the couple who sat with us had ordered, the waitress took their order, then ours, and she looked back at the other couple and said “did you guys want to order anything?” She didn’t even proceed to write down what they had ordered. We hadn't ordered anything complex and then it took about another 30 minutes for us to get our check. It really shouldn’t take over two hours for a sub-par restaurant to have you eat and be out the door. The waitress didn’t give us any napkins and we had to ask different waitresses for utensils, napkins, boxes to go, and refills for our drinks. We wouldn’t have had any problem with this but asked to speak to the manager who continued to speak to us rudely and ask “you got any other problems for me?” After we had complained about our service. When the manager got us our checks, they didn’t even say what they charged us for. The spotty service we received previously and now this experience has totally ruined the restaurant for us. (BEWARE OF EXTRAS IN YOUR FOOD AND DRINKS) I have been here 6 times since they opened here in Vinton. 1 time was actually great we had joy as a waitress. She was on point and super friendly. It was my daughter's 10th birthday she made it super special for kiddo. Food was even on point. It was also only about 2 in the afternoon. Been back the last five times and a complete disaster. But really the last straw was when we went back to eat on the 20th of July 2019. The place was not that busy it was steady waitress comes to take drink order. Me and my husband both order coke my daughter wants a chocolate milkshake in there light up macadoo cups. 5 minutes go by then ten minutes go b. Waitress stops I'm gonna get your drinks as soon as I get this table. We say ok I got a glass of water from bar because I was getting thirsty. Another ten minutes go by and soon after here comes our waitress with the drinks as ordered. Or so I thought. You can look at the drink and see that they had been sitting for a bit being all ice was melted drinks were watery daughters milkshake melted. But at this point I'm thirsty and take a sip of my water down coke. Midway through the drink in my mouth and going down my throat. I look and there is a dead fly floating in my drink. That's nasty and gross and I was beyond mad. The manger is a young dumb kid who is not ready to be a manager and wait staff that are clueless. And usually the food is just as bad. You have hired teenagers to run a restaurant. And you wonder why you continue to fail. So much for trying to support my...
