Ordered delivery. Penne in vodka sauce with meatballs added and chocolate temptation cake. The meatball was okay had good texture and flavor was just okay. The penne in vodka was bland and could have used more sauce. These are 2 items that you can get pretty much anywhere and usually they will not disappoint, I was disappointed. I've had better seasoned food at chain Italian restaurants and far better at some of the other local places. I try too gove the local businesses my business but based on these items alone I would probably stick with other local places. But the reason that I'm giving them a 2 instead of a 3 is because of this pathetic excuse for a desert that received. Compare this to the picture and it's not even possible to say they are the same items. I get things happen in delivery but even the size and color of this item was off. I don't know what it tasted like because I had no interest in trying to spoon ehat looked like under cooked cake into my mouth. This was a soupy mess...I likely won't be coming back here although the other reviews suggest maybe I just had an outlier...
Read moreExcellent food with a good selection of Italian food. Good selection for non-meat or nonred-meat eaters as well. We had the thin-crust Meat Lovers pizza and it was the best we have had in a long time in the Hampton Roads area. The crust was cooked perfectly and when a slice was picked up, it didn't sag and the slice was able to hold all the toppings without bending. The meatball and marinara sauce appetizer was spot on and very delicious. Greek salad was fresh and crisp. All the employees were very nice, engaging, and accommodating. Highly recommend this establishment. I believe one can't go wrong here as if all the food is like what we had, it is a great establishment. Others in the restaurant seemed to enjoy what they had and the good comments made to the staff were a positive indication they enjoyed their food. Overall, excellent food with a top-notch clean environment. Will definitely visit...
Read moreTrying to narrow down where to go for pizza was hard with so many options but we decided while here for the weekend to try Anna’s kitchen, we were warmly greeted and seated immediately and the menu is exactly what I love in a pizza place, wings, subs, salads and some pasta options and of course pizza! Went with a side salad and a 16” pizza with pepperoni, onion basil and garlic on the pizza and on the crust next time just g with garlic on the crust. The salad was basic but fresh and a good size portion for a side salad and if I’d known that the pizza was going to be top 5 best pizzas I’ve ever had I’d have skipped it all together. Yes it is truly that good. Crispy and flavorful and cooked to perfection. It was so hard to leave the leftovers behind but we couldn’t eat the whole pie. I wish I had had room for dessert the tiramisu and cheese cake looked delicious. Absolutely the best place to get a good...
