Absolutely Disgusted and Outraged. This Bar Is Blatantly Racist

Let me be very clear. What I experienced today at this bar around 7:00 PM was nothing short of blatant racism and completely unacceptable behavior.

I came to this location to pick up a delivery order, and per the exact instructions on the order, I was not supposed to go inside. I was told to call and someone would bring it out. So I called, only to be met with immediate rudeness from whoever picked up the phone. I politely explained I was there to pick up a delivery and that the instructions specifically said not to enter the bar. I’m new to the area and was simply trying to find the correct location.

Instead of helping me, the bartender on the phone was incredibly dismissive, telling me she had no idea about the kitchen and refusing to even try to help. I asked if she could connect me with someone who did know. And what did she do? She hung up in my face.

I called back, clearly upset, and thankfully someone else answered. Someone who was actually polite and respectful. This second person took the time to check with the kitchen, confirm the order was there, and reassure me I was at the right place. I let this polite staff member know how disgusted I was by the previous bartender's rudeness and complete disregard for helping me.

When I finally went inside to grab the order, it was obvious who the rude bartender was. And yes, I made a comment about it. I walked over to the nice woman I’d spoken to on the phone who waved me over, and told her flat-out, “That one right there, that’s the rude one who hung up in my face.” And I even began to ask her about the owners name and Protocol they have to report their employment, bad behavior they kept telling me that the owner of management was not there they Kept giving me the runaround they did not want to properly Let me know how Report the situation or give me any names on who I could call back and speak with about the situation later

What happened next was even worse.

The rude bartender, who had been all the way on the other side of the bar, intentionally walked over to confront me. She inserted herself into a conversation that had nothing to do with her and things got tense. We exchanged words. Then out of nowhere, a drunk white man starts yelling at me, claiming I’m harassing them. I’m a Black woman, standing there semi calmly, and this drunk man is in my face yelling and escalating the situation claiming to be cousins with the owner, yet he was clearly drunk and belligerent When a black person shows any emotion, other than smiling or laughing, certain groups of people will instantly claim it as the highest form of aggression or harassment

I told him he was drunk and needed to back the hell up. And instead of defusing the situation or helping me, the same rude bartender turns to me and says, “We have the right to refuse service.”

Let’s be real. This place is racist as hell.

If you're Black or Brown, do not support this establishment. The treatment I received was completely unprovoked, targeted, and humiliating. I came to do my job and pick up a delivery, and I left feeling disrespected, threatened, and outright discriminated against.

This kind of behavior cannot be tolerated. I will be reporting this to every platform available and I urge anyone who cares about equity and respect to think twice before stepping foot...

Hell yes to Ched’s Bar & Grill! I ordered takeout through UberEats - didn’t have super high hopes, since it appears to be a bar more than a restaurant, but they had cheap wings. Like, significantly cheaper than the wings from the pizza places. So hey, I gave them a try. On a whim, I added on some fish tacos. 5 Stars on the chicken wings- good portion/great price (10 medium wings/$7ish). Daytona Sauce (“recommended” in the app)- pretty decent bbq flavor, not too saucy, more sticky, little bit smoky. Which I am about. 4.5 stars for the fish tacos. The fish was most likely prebreaded/frozen, but the tacos were great- they tasted good, still warm and still in taco form when they got to me. I will be stuck in a hotel for the next two months and I will absolutely be ordering from this...

Great place, very chilled and relaxed place!! Good used to be very good when Robert was there but I went there last night n my food wasn’t as good as usual. My chicken tenders weren’t cooked all the way and the rest of my food wasn’t fried fully, I don’t know why they fired Robert but he was the best cook they ever had!!! The new cook Frankie doesn’t seem to know what’s he doing. They need to rehire Robert cause they won’t get many food sales and if they do, it’s only cause people are drunk and can’t taste what they are eating. HIRE ROBERT...
