Panda Garden — Restaurant in Virginia Beach

I had Panda Garden recommended to me by several people. Some of the Google reviews I read seemed pretty good, but now I have to wonder if people were paid to put them there. The website shows photos of their food and their food is nothing at all like the website. Not even the same shape size or color. The appetizers that were fried came still in a pool of grease and we're not drained nor put on a towel in the bag that they were put in. The fried rice tasted like it was loaded with burnt sesame oil and the rice itself tasted old and burnt the hot and sour soup had very little broth, raw mushrooms, and one by one chunks of tofu in it. Who wants tofu in your soup that is in chunks that is bigger than your mouth so you have to bite them in half? Who wants mushrooms in soup that are raw and appear to have been dropped on the top of it as an afterthought? The chicken with mixed vegetables had mushy chicken and the sauce on it was not good at all. Once taxes, delivery fee, and tips were added to my order I was over $50 and I watched that money go straight into my trash can because as hard as I tried, the food was not edible. The only positive experience I had was the restaurant using Uber Eats to deliver their food; the driver was really nice and fast. When it comes to ordering Chinese delivery this place is never ever again! I will go back to using China Wok who is friendly and fast, they have their own delivery driver who is one of the owners and he is nice as can be. For the same amount of food I also pay way less. I went in today, Oct 13,2017 and was so disgusted. Everything was fine. I ordered chicken lo mien and an egg roll. I paid the lady and she was at the register and then she took her hand WITH NO GLOVE and dropped my egg roll in the deep fryer. Then came back and brought me the receipt.

So after the guy brings my food up and forgot my egg roll. No biggie. But he took it out of the fryer dripping in grease and put it in the bag. I didn’t eat that. Then I open the lo mien and it was under cooked. The noodles were disgusting and the chicken was cold.

Needless to say I will not be returning and if you value your health you wouldn’t eat there. I’m not saying it has to be perfect but can they at least be clean. Ugh never again. Try the #1 Chinese at Salem Crossing. It’s far better and they don’t touch your food with...
