Dominos. Having worked for Domino's for over 10 years in management then as a supervisor, I'll say that this place needs a bit of work. Service is on point sure. Most corporate locations are great with staffing like what you'll find here. Uniform standards weren't being met nor was image. Being 'Welcomed' upon entry was a big thing when I was with Domino's. Panda Kitchen in Virginia Beach near Lynnhaven Mall does it best where you feel welcomed. Dominos on Virginia Beach BLVD near the car dealerships is good too. Here it's kinda eh.. ok. Pizza quality is all over the place. Handtossed you might get lucky sometimes but the dough rise, bubbles that aren't managed while in the oven, and bake simply isn't on point. Or at least haven't been on point when I've ordered at least a dozen times or more over the last few years from this place. There was an instance where all three pizzas I ordered were shot out. I hadn't bothered to check prior to getting home and it felt like a complete loss. The sides are made well. The Domino's I'm referring to on Virginia Beach blvd I've never walked into where they had uniform violations. Furthermore, the pizzas I've ordered from there have a consistency of being great pizzas. Never had issues with flat hand tossed or pan pizzas not being properly cooked. In a pinch, I may order from here like I did today. But if given the option, I'm ordering from the va beach...
Read moreI had to put a new/updated review because this store has gone WAY down hill since my last review 3 years ago. Their pizzas used to have a good FAIR amount of items on them, but not anymore. Seems (to me) like management is too concerned with food cost so much they cut the products down so they can get a bonus. At least that's what I think might be the answer to the low quality. I mean I've counted 5 tiny pieces of onions and green peppers on pizzas I've ordered.... Really!?? Not even enough to have at least one piece per slice? SMH.
I really liked Domino's since they revamped their entire menu over the last 10 years, but why can't they stick to the correct item portions on the pizzas and other foods?
And I know several people who worked or do work at Domino's and the horror stories I hear of how some of the employees handle the food is appalling!! Why are drivers handling the food prep with NO gloves, or behind the boxing station handling the food after just coming back from a run?? Seriously?
Sorry I'm even putting this out there, but I could not just keep quiet and feel ok with myself. Please retrain your shift, store, and district management in handling their employees, product portions, and also in who is...
Read moreTerrible experience. I called and placed an order for delivery on 1/21/14 at 4:56 PM. I paid with credit card and was told that the driver would call the phone number I gave, and would arrive within 35 minutes. At the 50 minute mark, I called back to ask of the status of my order. What answered me on the other end, was rude employee who claimed he was a manager, but acted like he didn't have time for my call. He said he had no record of my order even as I gave him information such as my name, contact number, and the very item and price of my purchase. He repeated his claim in a smartass tone as if it was my fault that he couldn't find my order, or as if I just imagined the whole thing. Needless to say, my order was never found, and I had to change dinner plans.
This occurence is unacceptable to me. An employee making a mistake is one thing. A so-called manager acting like a douche on the phone, like it was an inconvenience to him, to a customer who was simply inquiring the status of his order , is entirely another. I will not return for any business at this...
